Afternoon you chatty lot. Quite a few posts to catch up on i see.

Had a busy day so far today. Son is off school with his upset stomach (just left with painful cramps today) so meant dragging him out of bed to take with me to my husbands hospital appointment, this is manic as daughter had to be dropped off at work in one county for 6am, then come home all of us up washed and breakfasted to be out by 8am for an hours drive to different county all together for the hospital. Now hubby been told we have to do this journey for a further 8 weeks so he can go for hydrotherapy :( I know its in his best intrests but its a pain in the backside there isnt anywhere closer to do it.

So been very good mealwise today and avoided cafe temptations while waiting for hubby to get out of his appt.

    EE day here.
    B, 2 x toast (heb) total 0% and a banana
    L, vegetable lasagne hm LO
T, minced beef and bean hotpot, filled to the brim with onions and carrots.
    hea - milk for coffee.

Can i ask whether there are any diabetics on here please. I'm being nosey you see, a lady has joined our group and although has confessed to not being on plan at all because of family difficulties which are making her turn to food has announced she cant eat more than 2 pieces of fruit for health reasons = then said she was diabetic and was told no more than 2 a day other wise it will affect her insulin levels. Now my dad is type 2 and has been told he can eat fruit tilll it comes out of his ears if he wants its the naughty stuff like cream cakes, sweets and chocs he has to cut back on so just wondered niavely if it is the same for type 1 or if this woman just isnt ready/commited to wanting to lose weight.

Hi Stef Iam type 2 and can eat fruit it's carbs I have to be careful of. and I love them I think they are my problem I haven't lost again, 3 weeks in a row, but, I am trying.

When you signed up did you receive a diabetic guide from your consultant? There was only one copy in our group and she gave it to the lady in question. I was going to have a nosey through it but werent quick enough.

Think i will see whats said this week or if lady in question returns for another week.

I'm a bit down TBH, as although I've been very good, I don't seem to be losing any weight after the initial 5.5lbs. I resisted the scales until this morning. Reckon I'm the same if not a smidge heavier than my last WI when I recorded only a 0.5lb loss for my second week :( It's soooo tempting to be synful tonight. :o

Hope you haven't been synful tonight.:naughty:

Don't despair as groups are often packed out of the door after Christmas but they do settle down. My own group is very repetitive and boring and my consultant is nice but dim but I needed the discipline getting to target and I stll go (but not every week) but don't pay any more(except for now being under target:o)

My advice would be to hang on in there for your 12 weeks and then review the situation. You'll be pretty expert with the plan by then plus you'll still have the support on here.

    And stop weighing at home!!!

Just wanted to say that I read on another thread that Pasta 'n' Sauce is 3 for £1 in Costcutter this week. I don't eat them myself but I know they're useful for lunches if you don't have many faciltities. Website makes it easy to find nearest store.

    P.S. welcome back kraftykat.
