    Congratulations Nessie.

I am going to try and make tomato soup today. I have made many other soups with tinned tomatoes in them but for some reason never made just tomato soup with fresh tomatoes. I have some celery, carrots and onion to go in too, is that enough flavour do you think? (and stock ofcourse)

Try adding a pickled onion or 2 - gives it the kick it needs!

I have a nice recipe for tom soup has red pepper in too.. Roast them and the toms before adding to other ingredients.. I always end up putting a bit of chilli in soups for a kick.. Will try the pickled onions!

Have you tried speed soup? The week I had that for lunch every day I had a 5lb loss! I also had it a few times when my weight loss stopped and it seemed to kickstart it again with a 3lb loss, might be coincidence but worth a try.

    1 can mixed bean salad
    1 can green lentils
    2 cans chopped tomatoes
    1 can baked beans
    Handful of split lentils
    2 large leeks
    1 large onion
    4 large carrots
    2 parsnips
    Green, red or yellow pepper
2 beef/chicken/veg stock cubes (whichever you prefer)
    Salt & pepper
    Mixed herbs
Water (enough to cover all ingredients)

Chop all veg and put everything in pan, cover with water bring to boil and simmer until veg are soft.

Can be left chunky or blended.

I don't put the stock cubes etc in until the veggies have cooked, drain a bit of water off as the tins have liquid in so can end up quite runny.. I like a thick soup.. ;)

can re add water if needed then after you've blitzed it

There is a recipe for "Heinz" tomato soup on the SW recipe thread, I have tried it, its so simple an tasty ;)

Well, I never got on all weekend, was busy shopping, meal planning & batch cooking, (DH gets paid 4 weekly & we work form his pay) so I was a busy bee, never got my roast dinner yesterday either as DH was out at a Pool Tournament & wasnt back until 9, wasnt making a big roast dinner for me & the two kids so we are having it today, kids ended up with pizza yesterday, I had spicy mince & rice. Stuck to plan all weekend, just need to make some more dyno rod soup, only one poriotn left in freezer & perhaps a big pot lentil as I have loads of veg to use up before it goes bendy :D

DH came in at 9 last night & asked if I had made any batches of pakora, I hadnt so he weny & bought some of the real stuff for himself but I resisted :A and ate my ryvita & Laughing Cows :D

    So todays EE Plan :-

    B - Melon, berries & nat yoghurt
L - SW Bacon leek & sweet potato quiche (a), salad, melon, grapes, satsuma
D - Roast beef, actifry roast potatoes, roast veg, brussel sprouts (no yorkshires or gravy)
    S - Banana & toffee muller
heb - 2 x Alpen lights later on tonight.

Have a good day everyone & well done losers ;)
