One of two things I was wondering:
    A) could it be this water, all though there is no sugar listed on it it does say artificial sweetners. I have been drinking 3 to 4 bottles of it a day.

    B) could it be too much fruit? i have gone from not eating fruit at all to lots .

    thank you

If the drink is less than 10 cals per 100ml and is labelled as sugar free then it should be ok to drink endless quantities of it.

With slimming world the more you eat the more you lose and ideally each meal of the day should be balanced out with 1/3rd super free.
Looking at your other post your not eating nearly enough free food so perhaps try looking at the sample menus online to get an idea of what you should be aiming to eat a day.

  • Getting my bake on this pm ,will be making a fish pie,SW quiche with tuna & mushrooms,SW ham & egg muffins & broccoli & cauli pasta bake with quorn chicken pieces :D

that reminds me, we used to talk about making a quiche using potato instead of pastry (I prefer that, as soggy pastry is just gross!) - however recently I've made a couple using first some quorn "pretend" ham slices and then using some real ham slices to line the baking tin. Works a treat! And is quicker than messing with potatoes.

Hello Angel, I work full time although there's only me to cook for. I do a big cook on a Sunday which involves meals for me for Mon, Tues, Wed, as we have a microwave at work, I just grab a box from the fridge each morning. Whatever's left from putting up those boxes is my Sunday lunch :). I do a mixture of vegetables, carbs etc and ensure the contents of the boxes vary. Then Thurs and Fri it will be something completely different, say fish. This might not help directly with your family but might give you some ideas - bulk cooking of various vegetables could ensure each of the fussy eaters finds something to enjoy!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    Hello

Could you batch cook? Make a big pot of soup and freeze in portions. Huge pot of mince with onions, peppers, mushrooms etc in, freeze that in family size portions and then you can make that into bolognaise or chili, or mince and tatties or shepherds pie. Or shape low fat mince into burgers and freeze. Oven rustic chips from McCains are low in syns if you feel it is too labour intensive to make your own.

Pasta dishes are quick. Stir fries as well. Noodles
I made savoury rice the other day, stir fried some chicken, leeks, carrots and peppers, stirred in dry rice and stock, let it simmer add seasoning and it was all in one pan.

It must be hard if you work full time. Maybe you can have a look at Jamie Olivers 15 minute meals recipes online and see if you can make them SW friendly.
Chicken wrapped in bacon is quite quick in preparation.
I think organisation is the key really, make a menu plan and shop accordingly so you have everything in the house you need to make those dishes and maybe you could prep the night before?
Good luck, don't be afraid to ask questions.

thank you to you both blackberry and mumoftwo for your advice

i currently do not cook in bulk , however after reading through your posts this is something i am going to try and organise for next weekend when im off next, ill just hoof it this week, im lucky i have access to a kitchen at work so i can bring my own dinners in etc...

i have recently bought a rice cooker which i use alot ( kids lv it ) and too my delight theres lots of rice dishes that are syn free on EE i can use and dream up. i remember last time the syn free sw chips went down a treat with the young ones too .... reading through the recipes ive decided i will try and start make some home made soups for lunch, it would seem its all down to preparation and making time,

another thing , it would be a real god send (to me lol) if they upgraded their iphone app... does anyone on here use it? , it would be handy to be able to scan log foods in check syns etc using my phone, does anyone else agree with this or is it easy to pick up and remember ?

anyways thank you for the welcome and tips i do appreciate it :)

Has anyone tasted the muller light Greek style yogurts? I'm in love with them and they are fat free. Last night I had 2 coconut ones and crushed 4 maltesers in them, 3 syns the lot for a big tasty dessert....have stocked up the fridge whilst on offer. They are £1 in Iceland for coconut and lemon flavours. £1.09 in co op for the strawberry. £1.09 (if you buyone get one free)in sainsburys for the cherry and honey/peach.
    Obsessed me?
I love the lemon ones. I think they taste like cheesecake topping :D

This is exactly what I do. I do 4 x 12 hour shifts, and work from 06.30 til 18.30. Then I get 4 days off, and so the cycle goes.
On my days off, I batch cook-I have to otherwise it's too tempting to just grab something bad. So yesterday I used my SW All in one cook book, and made beef and ale stew, gammon in cider, spag bol, honey mustard chicken with parsnips, and made a huge pot of lentil soup. All bunged in microwavable pots, and shoved in freezer. Pick one and go! I really wouldn't manage without doing it. Then before bed, I get my breakfast ready. (Then I go to bed early to get up at 5).
    HTH :D
