Here is a link for anyone interested .. They are on offer in the co-op at the mo

    Do they taste nice?

I have just eaten 2 mini sub wholemeal rolls from Marks & Spencer as my HEB, they are lovely, so happy with this discovery :j I filled them with ham and cucumber. I could have happily eaten all 8 but my kids saw me eating them and wanted some too. (they always refuse to eat wholemeal bread at any other time ;) )

Can't wait for my roast chicken

Dont be daft, grief through these things hit people the same whether they are family or not. I were never close to the kids aunty - she is their dad's sister. One of the types who always looks down their noses at you and believes you would never be any good to their flesh and blood so for me im not emotionally involved but i do see the pain in my kids eyes even though my son tries not to show it. But i am also glad that they are experiencing these curve balls in life now as i think they are at the age where it will shape them in later life. I know for my daughter the death of my mom has been a big inspiration to her which is drawing her to the line of Care work. Despite there being a lull in recruitment locally for it she has been ringing round regularly and submitting her C.V's. So hopefully her hard work will pay off.

Beanie - Life has certainly been trying and never boring thats for sure.

mumoftwo - those wm subs are very nice and after eating 2 of them they do make you feel that you have had a full sized sandwich, very satisfying.

mirry - i have been getting the muller greek style from either the local Bp garage/spar shop for £1 a pack or Morrisons @ £1.09 and they are very nice. I believe you can use the coconut one as a replacement for coconut in some curry recipes which i am yet to try as they seem to have disappeared from the fridge before i get to try anything exciting with them.

Lost 3st 5lb with Slimming world so far!!
  • Hi everyone.
I have been lurking for a while now but would like to join in.:)
I lost weight through SW 12 years ago. 6 years ago I became ill and have to live with what I have now and am on permanent medication. Since the start of the illness I steadily gained weight and decided enough was enough when I realised I had put on 4 stone. I am pretty sure that my weight loss will be slow.
I started 4 weeks ago and then became really sick and couldnt keep any food down for 4 days. Strangely enough though - a fortnight in to SW and I had only lost half a pound.
When I originally went on SW I struggled for a while and then wondered if it was anything to do with my fruit intake. After greatly reducing this my weight fell steadily. Now on week 2 this time I ate a lot of fruit- mainly melon, berries and apples. I did stick to the plan and did record everything I ate online. ( I am not going to a group). Weeks 3 and 4 I continued to stick with the plan but reduced my fruit intake to one piece a day. I lost 5 and a half pounds in those 2 weeks.
So has anyone else ever found the same with fruit intake. I wonder if its a form of intolerance??
We have always spoiled ourselves food wise on a Saturday night so I was determined to continue do the same. Yesterday I made a starter and main course from the curry heaven book( lamb koftas and classic chicken curry) and the week before I did a 3 course meal from the EE entertaining book. My OH is astounded that what he had was from a "diet" book:rotfl:
I'm not expecting to lose so much in the next fortnight but would be happy even with a pound a week. ( I don't care what any experts say, the medication I am taking has resulted in some of the weight gain so i'm sure it will slow down weight loss. I'm also going through the menopause)
Love the dyno rod soup by the way!

Last night I had 2 coconut ones and crushed 4 maltesers in them, 3 syns the lot for a big tasty dessert....have stocked up the fridge whilst on offer. They are £1 in Iceland for coconut and lemon flavours. £1.09 in co op for the strawberry. £1.09 (if you buyone get one free)in sainsburys for the cherry and honey/peach.
