does anyone have the book of sauces?

is it worth having?.. I bought the soup book but tbh, tend to make my own so not really used it.. wondering what type of 'sauces' are in it.. sold out in our group so not been able to have a flick thru it

Yes I bought & think its a good little boom. Worth purchasing anyway :D

    Here are some examples

    Tikka marinade
    Rogan josh
    Dhansk
    Hot & sour Thai sauce
    Black bean sauce
    Mustard & herb sauce
    Cheese sauce
    How to make pesto
    Tomato & chilli sauce
    Creamy mushroom & chive sauce

Honestly there are loads to try

Evening all, hope you're having a good weekend :A

I am not looking forward to WI as had a bad week. Been a very stressful and emotional end to the week as we [the staff] were given some very sad news on Friday. I think most of us knew earlier in the week but the news was offically given Fri. The long and the short of it is our work colleague's husband who has terminal C now only has weeks to live as the C has spread to his vital organs. We know the whole family so it is devastating for all of us as we have watched the family deal with this awful condition and they have been so positive but now!!! Their son is not quite 10 so not only do we have his Mum to support through this but there is the son too and the knock on effect with his classmates as well as parents who know the family outside of school. I have been in tears several times this week as its all so very sad.
Also son's apprenticeship isn't going as well as expected and he is looking around for a move elsewhere. Turns out his office manager has been bullying him from day 1 and he hasn't let on. I really want to go give her a piece of my mind [and a piece of my fist] but know he is an adult now and will have to deal with it. I will definitely be complaining to the Director of that company but not until son has somewhere else to go otherwise he'll be out the door and back to square 1 with no income.
The only good news this week was hubby had an interview yesterday so hoping and praying he gets it, fingers and toes and anything else crossable is crossed :D

    Keep the faith all :A:A:A:A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

D, chicken stir fry with loads of superfree veg and some low fat supernoodles
    S skim milk for cuppas,

Sending you a big hug :grouphug:
  • Ps- can someone tell me how to cook celeriac?

I either cut it into cubes, steam it, add Butterbuds and mash it up, or cook it with some garlic & onions and stock and then blitz it into a lovely thick soup. You have to get the thick rind off - I cut it into slices then lay each slice flat and take the rind off by cutting down as if cutting a thin slice of bread, easier than trying to peel it whole.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
