You're not, forgot to mention that I make my porridge with water. I have breakfast at work and they don't have dairy free milk there :)

Can't bring myself to use the dodgy hug, so have some kisses instead... :kisses:

Check out Argos, I noticed a nice looking set of digital scales half price in the clearance if they have any in stock near you. Quite tempted to get them myself, I have to argue with my current scales to get them to turn on.

    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9057236.htm

ETA: 6 syns for half a tiny box of Guylian seashells left from yesterday. Plus 1 for a tiny bit of peppercorn sauce from dinner and the 1 already mentioned from breakfast, so that's 8 for the day. Not too bad, all things considered.

MASSIVE MASSIVE thank you, - just got the last pr of those scales, and in the local 10 Argos stores (upto 40 miles for us), the last one was at my local store, me thinks this is a sign from the angels!! (or a big kick up the rear!!) xx

Can I say a big thank you, for everyone for being so helpful, - scales on order - set myself a mental challenge to start after Easter - I know thats a bit of a cop out but pennies tight at mo (want to have a few weeks meeting money backed up), I'm away at Easter with DD - know that if I put on weight I'd go into melt down.

I need to work with GP with weight so going to start getting things started - unfortunalty due to an idiot fancying my car whilst i was driving it many yrs ago.. the word exercise is a word that is foreign to me, I can't even go swimming at my local swimming baths, due to poor disabled access (the seat that puts you in water only goes to 80kg) I'm well over that.... and mentally need to get myself in mindset - nearly finished OU course by Easter (1 month left) - be less stressed less liable to be writing assisgnments at 3am with a box of biscuits.

Apologies for the life story, - but again thank you all, i will catch up with you in the future xxxx

  • mum2one don't run off - feel free to hang about in here with us and get a feel of the plan ready to start. And not starting until Easter is not a cop out, you have made a plan and have obviously committed yourself to it :)

The snow is back with a vengence...not impressed!

    Today:
B: wholemeal roll (1stHeB) toasted with beans, banana, satsuma
L: Ham sandwich on wholemeal roll (2ndHeB), 2 satsumas, pink and white (2.5syns)
    T:Chinese - yay :)

Going to have 250ml SS-milk as my HeA, a hot choc before before bed/whilst relaxing this evening (2syns) and maybe a cheeky curly wurly (6syn). Will be snaffling fruit for snacks.

Got to go out in the snow in about an hour to pick up a parcel at the post office (and it closes at 10am grr otherwise I'd have gone back to bed!) but that's about a one mile round trip (only found that out the other day haha). Was going to take the pooch so I didn't spend anything but think I'm going to get some coke to have with the Chinese tonight plus I think I'd lose him in all this snow as he only has teeny tiny legs haha

Thats right, last year it was 32g of porridge but now gone up to 35g. This has also removed the option to have the handy packs of Oats So simple as they were a lower weight and not containing as much fibre. Your milk for you Hea has also chnged, if having Skimmed its now 350ml. 250ml for semi and 175ml for whole.

Hi Stef - I've just bought a huge box of Oats So Simple Golden Syrup. Can anyone give me some stats on these pls - it would be very helpful. Can they be used as a Healthy Extra and if not, how many syns to each small individual pack? Also are all flavours the same?

When the new books came out the oats so simple were removed as healthy extras. Now they are synned at 5 for plain sachets and flavoured sachets are 6.5 syns

  • Oh dear. I stayed asleep until 09.40. Pretty much unheard of. I am so incredibly tired. I know I worked a lot of hours but this is weird. I feel so drained. Not like me at all :(

Good news is I went to Mr T's after doing meal plans yesterday and am preparing a few of them today to put in the freezer so this next set of shifts I won't have to think about it. Making a few dishes from my new SW All in One book. Had beef and ale stew in overnight in the SC, and now am doing gammon in cider. Easy peasy, that's what I like! Have also put the meal plan on the fridge, so everyone knows what we are doing!
Hope everyone has a great weekend x
  • Thanks for your take on an alternative fish pie blackberry-rum.

It was yummy, but I had quite a lot of liquid in the bottom. Perhaps either I put too much yogurt in, or creme freshe wasn't a good sub for fromage frais.

I did well not to give in to any temptations last night. Had the half bottle of wine and that was it.

    Today:

    B. Muller light greek yog with 35g muesli. Orange
    S. Orange
    L. Homemade veg soup - all superfree
    D. I'm going to make the SW Pakora with SW chicken tikka and the yogurt and mint sauce.

A glass or two of wine.

Thankfully no more snow over night, a good down pour of rain however, and now the snow is melting rapidly.

Got up this morning, had brekkie and then carried out another 45 mins on the wii fit. Leg muscles are starting to get tender but will persevere through and see what those scales are saying in class this week - wii fit has me down as losing 1 stone 5lb since yesterday :rotfl:so i will not be looking at those measurements or taking them to heart.

B, 2 plums, banana and muller light greek style yogurt (0.5)
L, Omlette with bacon, onion and mushrooms side of beans.
T, veggie lasagne from a recipe consultant placed on FB wall this week.
hEA MILK, Heb, possibly cereal bar/s.

Although this is looking like a green day as i could syn rasher of bacon will be keeping it as EE so i am not tempted by the extra HE's. Want to really see a loss this week so pushing out all the stops and cutting back on meat upping veggies. If this doesn't work i dont know what will.

  • Help! I've been doing SW for 4 weeks now (not at groups, using books at home as can't afford it) and have had good losses for first 3 weeks -4lb, 3lb, 2lb and this week I've stayed the same. I'm really disheartened as this week I've hardly had any syns and been really good. I'm halfway through my "women's cycle" if that makes any difference? Just fed up as thought this week I'd go down to the next stone but not. :( Any advice?
