    Hi everyone.

It has taken me a while to catch up with the latest posts. I have my 3rd weigh in tomorrow and not sure how it will go. I have fallen into the trap of weighing at home and must STOP it as it can send me in a downward spiral.

I lost only 1lb my first week, gained it again last week and was gutted as I had followed EE 100%. Decided to do a mix of EE/Red/Green as have lost weight successfully before on the Red/Green plan. Was ill Sun and Mon and lost 3lb! Woo hoo I thought. Stuck to the plan (mainly green) and weighed at home yesterday to find I had gained 2lb of the 3lb lost. This sent me over the edge as I have forgone cheese/alcohol and crisps. In fact I am more miserable now than before I started SW? Anyway I had a huge binge last night and I have to confess

5 (yes that isnt a typo) bags of crisps, 2 wraps with ham, spinach and hot pepper sauce, a curly wurly and 2 cans of cider. Oh my.
Woke up this morning absolutely disgusted with myself. Dreading weigh in tomorrow and was going to bottle out of it and not go, although I have bought a 12 week countdown, but reading Frogga's experience made me feel that all was not lost and I am not alone.

"All life experiences are connected. The pieces of the jigsaw you put in place today will be part of who you are in the future".

Going to focus on that positive thought.

    Step AWAY from the scales

    Take away the batteries

    Give away the scales

Do what ever you can do to NOT weigh yourself apart from at group/once a week

    (trust me . . . i know)

Well I did eventually get dressed, and it did eventually stop raining for a wee while. So I dragged my lazy butt out for a walk on the beach with DH and hound. My face is just about thawing out :D

Funny enough, there weren't many people on the beach today!

looks lovely where you live, had a wee look at your flickr.. on phone so will pay another visit when back on lappy.. envious of the puffins, would love to see them in their natural environment.. no chance of that in manchester! :D

    this +1 ;)

I think we've all done similar Mrs O, I know I have, crisps my downfall so I stopped buying them, too easy to reach for when i'm feeling low..

I think its best to draw a line under it and move onwards.. i've stopped seeing a maintain or gain as a failure, its a life change so I have to look at it long term..

That positive thought is a good one! ;)

I must admit, I am quite lucky. I do have to remind myself in the depths of winter when we only get 5 hours of daylight, and it's blowing a hoolie, but the summer months more than make up for it. I'm not very good at taking photo's but I enjoy snapping away :D
  • Looks blissful Sharalee.

I would love the peace and tranquility of that.

Mrs Optimist, I can only empathise, because that's my downfall when my defences get low at night. Tonight's going to be another test after my wine. :o

Well I don't know if I've made a good choice with not being able to find fat-free fromage frais for my fish pie tonight. I've got Sainsbury's Be Good To Yourself low fat creme fraiche. According to the online syn tool when entering nutritional info, 142g gives 5.5 syns on EE. Not sure how much of the pie I'm going to eat at this stage :)

I made the mistake of nibbling some of the raw dill I bought for the pie, and crikey, it's strong and keeps repeating on me.

Let's keep the faith, and hope the munchie gremlins don't win tonight, for those of us that are vulnerable to such.

Per biscuit they range from 2.5syns to 6syns each!

So if there is 3 biscuits in a pack - it is between 7.5 & 18syns

I have read somewhere that they have more sugar than a can of coke

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: No wonder I like them! Thanks for that, wont be eating anymore of those! Off to SW I go next Thurs.

    Thanks Banjo

That is the very one :D, I only used brocolli, cauilflower, onion & potato.

Very nice pakora sauce, I counted as one syn as I only had a little & watered it down with milk from my allowance as it was too thick for me.

    125g nat yoghurt
    50g tomato sauce
    pinch salt
    1/2 tsp mint sauce
1/2 tsp chilli (however hot you want)
    cpl drops lemon juice

Mix all together, makes a lot as i said, I only took couple tbsps from main mixture & added milk to thin, I cannot remember how to insert picture or I would show you pic :(

Just mixing some FF yogurt with mint sauce (I use Asda SP) and sweetener to taste makes a good free dip, sort of raita like.

Hope the fish pie goes well Banjo. If you enjoy wine at weekends then I'd do as zippy suggested and just plan it in. Wine syns are my absolute favourite so I used to plan in up to 77:eek: syns for wine at weekends and that still left me almost 30 for syns in meals across the week. I know some people need daily treats but I've always preferred saving mine.

zippy I'd heard there was only one brand of pork mince that was free too but that's not what it says on syns online. I just tried Tesco ( 2 types free) and Sainsbury (one free) so perhaps it's easier to come by than it used to be.
