Oops - me again
Okay so I'm going on holiday next week and I had precisely one summer dress (a vintage 50's number) and there was this REALLY nice leopard print maxi dress which was perfect (once I shortened it by 3") in Next for £32. It is empire line so it's flattering for the non-flat tummy, and then I saw another empire line dress in black (new) on ebay for £13. I sent back most of the Next sale stuff (jumpers), apart from much needed undies (£12) and a classic thin knit black v-neck, reduced to £10.
Oh and a new swimming cozzie, Primarni £8.
(Stops and pauses for breath)
Oh and I lost my straw hat (how did I manage lose something so big?)
When I return from holiday (which incidently is in Kent so I think wellies would be more suitable than maxi dresses going by the weather forecast for next week, ooh - wellies and maxi dress, how Glastonbury) I will be selling things.
new total........
012 Nagme - £336.29/£300
And the worst thing is I have a feeling I'm not done shopping for the year yet, I seem to have put on a few pounds and some of my clothes don't fit now that I'm size 12.0 -
New Total: £158.09 due to a couple of charity shop shirts... one of them (£3.50) retails for between £80 and £160 depending if it's in the sale.

Wow I haven’t actually posted for ages which I’d like to say is because I haven’t been shopping but it’s not at all sadly! I have split up with my other half and moved house so it has been a turbulent few months. I may have blocked out some of my spending post break up but I think I am back on track now, phew! From what I remember I was given a N-xt Gift Card for £50 which I spent on new leggings, sandals and a denim shirt which rightly or wrongly I am not counting! I had a wedding where I got a dress from A-da of all places for £18, shoes & bag from P-ima-k for £6 each. I also picked up a £12 top in the Miss S—fr—ge sale, a £25 top in the W-re-ouse sale, a maxi skirt from New L—k for £15, a lace top from S-l-ct for £6 and 2 dresses for £5 from a markety type shop. Total £93.00 making £169.50
I hope everyone is doing well and I am enjoying catching up on all the posts I have missed. I shan’t wait so long next time xx
Squinky 11: £169.50/£2500 -
another pay day and still No 17 Zero spend from zero budget!
I dug all my summer clothes out of storage a couple of weekends ago and gave them all a wash ready for my holiday. Found a pair of white wide legged linen trousers, and a lovely monsoon dress both BNWT that fit perfectly so I am not feeling hard done by after 7 months of no spending! Over half way there now!Dont wait for your boat to come in 'Swim out and meet the bloody thing'0 -
A 3rd No Spend month on clothes in a row! Who'd have thought that was possible earlier this year - not me!
£0 spend May/June/July
Really pleased and I'm going for another one for August to see if I can make it 4 in a row.

Well I'm here to hang my head in shame for I have failed the challenge.
I recently went to London shopping with DOH and we had a bit of a blow out. I'd like to say that it was just that, but I also crumbled with the Next sale. Here is the damage:
Next sale £100 exactly (a variety of things that I can't even remember)
Shoes from next £25 which have blistered my feet beyond belief and I was in agony
Charity shop clothes £6.75
Tops £16 (it was actually £46 for two tops from Sooperdri, but DOH gave me £30 to go towards)
Even more shoes (actually flip flops after the feet ruining fiasco) £20
What can I say. I need to sell sell sell some things to try to get back in the challenge.
I'm glad to see that everyone is doing so well. Keep it up guys, you're doing brill.
My grand total is now £277.75/£250 :eek:0 -
Hello you lovely lot :hello:
I've seen this challenge on two people's siggys this week so thought I'd come and see what it was all about.
I have decided that I would like to join you! I know there are only 5months left of the year but I am clothes crazy so... I am going to set myself a budget of....
£100 for clothes spends for me and..
£100 for work clothes
I have just started a new job so I may need some new essentials, not an amazing target but it's a start and if I do well this year I will join you next year with a harder target
I hope this is OK with you all :-)Don't turn a slip up into a give up

Hello, everyone - I'm just catching up again!
In my last message I was on target for a no spend June but I failed that by spending £1 on a thin jumper at a carboot sale. Why? I have no idea. I wore it for a couple of hours and I actually don't think I've seen it since :embarasse
I had a no spend July :j
Then in August, the blouse to go under the dress I bought in March finally appeared on eBay - in a size 8 but I got it anyway. It looks fine under the dress (you can't tell it's too small) but after all that, I'm just not convinced at all about the whole ensemble - so that was £5 (including postage) and I think we can almost certainly put that down to throwing good money after bad.
Next I had to go to a hen party with a little black dress theme - unfortunately I couldn't do the zip up on my "go to" LBD from French Connection. I set up a eBay watch for the same dress in a size bigger, one came up but I got outbid at £31.78 (inc P&P). So I ordered £185.50 worth of dresses of ASOS and then sent £185.50 back as they were all terrible. I thought I was going to have to resort to my only other black dress which is really a cocktail dress (it's the Karen Millen one I got off eBay in Feb) and not really suitable for a night on the town. Anyway, on the morning of the hen party I decided to jump up and down until I finally managed to squeeze into the FC dress, with no bra (thankfully it's quite structured) and a whole world of cleavage and side boob, but heck, it was fine - I was more covered up than most of the nightclub. Although the next morning one of girls asked me about the marks on my shoulders, the dress was so tight, the straps had given me rashes! Anyway, another size 12 came up on ebay after the hen party and I couldn't resist - I got it for £19.70 (inc P&P) but it's not arrived yet. Still, not bad considering the original dress cost me £67.95 in the sale (I think it was £150 originally). Of course it would be much better if I could just drop the dress size but hey, ho....
Anyway, total to date is £301.75 / £500.
I'm going away for work for a few weeks to work on a client's site from the end of Sept though, so I might need to reassess my work wardrobe.0 -
I have not posted here for ages as I lost my password and then I could not find which email I registered to.
I am pleased to report 0 spend. I am however putting on a bit of weight due to overeating so I am not sure how I am going to cope.
Does anyone have ANY tips how to stop stress eating? I am not exercising enough due to laziness and long commute to work and I am under a bit of stress. Sometimes I just grab things at work and eat without even realising it. I need to stop this somehow but seems quite hard.
squinky --- just saw your post.... really sorry to hear about your OH...
