Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    018 - 0/£100

No spend so far although I am seriously tempted by some boots today reduced from £99 to £24. A bigger problem is that I have to go to an Eighties party tomorrow and I really don't want to spend any of my very limited clothes budget on stuff I'll never wear again! I was a size 8/10 in the 80's - I'm a generous 16 now. Might have to scour the charity shops later. Any ideas gratefully received!!
  • Payday today woohoo! its been a long 6 weeks since we were paid early in December

    017 £0/£0 spent

Zero spent so on target and saved a fair amount in savings this month so all good for the first month.

We are going to visit the outlaws this weekend and will probably take a trip in to Glasgow for a day, I do love shopping there but am going to suggest we visit a couple of museums and take in the sights instead
Dont wait for your boat to come in 'Swim out and meet the bloody thing' ;)

Me too :embarasse Made the mistake of going into H&M and looking at the sale (which annoyed me as I saw things in there that I already have that have now been reduced!)

I came out with 2 pairs of trousers and 1 pair of leggings which cost £19.

    Therefore £19/£120

  • Hi Everyone

Can I join you? I have far too many clothes so my main motivation for joining this is to reduce clutter as well as saving money.

I would love to give myself a zero target but I am going to a summer wedding abroad and as I haven't been on holiday for 20 years I don't have anything suitable (and will also need a couple of other essentials such as swimming cossie as am staying for a few days and making a holiday of it).

As my DH is disabled I buy all his clothes and he has more than enough as well - all I can think he will need this year is new shoes.

So I would like to declare a total target spend of £500 for the 2 of us and as many no spend months as I can manage. 9 seems realistic even if I have to spread the holiday wardrobe shopping over a couple of months.

I noticed that someone recommended keeping a look out on eb for wedding outfits so will do that.

This is getting really difficult for me. Not just because I am craving for clothes but because I am curbing my spend in all aspect of my life.

I so want to be normal and just be whoever I want to be :(:(:(. Sometimes it feels that all this house buying saga might not be for people like me.

On the positive note my facebook pages are doing really well. 22,000 and 500 likes for far and not even been doing this for 6 months.

Since I am craving so much for clothes I decided to focus on body. Everyone has little bits they do not like about themselves so I will try to improve myself in 2013 as much as I can. I am cutting spend on beauty products too by buying in bulk when on deal and not using as many products so we'll see how this goes.

Another tip from me: if you set a budget for yourself think about what you actually want to buy with that money. Make a list and as you go window shopping have that list in mind. If you come across something from the list at great price and quality then buy it without feeling any remorse. This way you grab true bargains and you'll get what you actually wanted in the first place.
