Have been playing with kiddies but managed a sneaky declutter in playroom whilst we were in there. Binned lots of dried up felt pens, broken pencils and crayons and a stacks of papers to the recycling too.

I have also mentally earmarked several toys for toy sale next month ;)

    Hi all

Hannerrbabes - I am shocked that someone would burgle a charity shop - they must either be really low (or maybe just very desperate and needy). What a shame!

Maybe if any of the declutter-bugs on the board are nearby we could make them a target shop and drop loads of lovely things into them.

    D x

Yes, they must be very, very low. The first time they took the cash. The 2nd time, it was during the xmas hols so no cash was there so they just took stock, cleaning products, tea/coffee, hand towels. They must be taking all the 2nd hand clothes to carboot. But 2nd hand cleaning products?? Come on...! Sadly, there's been a lot of burglaries in that area, even my house was done :( The shop is Samaritans on Aylsham Road, in Norwich if anyone is nearby :)
    Thanks x

    Good Morning My Lovelies

You are all doing AMAZING, well done to you all. I havent been able to post much since November - life just got in the way but I have managed to keep on top of things and the house is looking great, thanks to all the tips and inspiration from you guys - a massive "Thank You" :T :T

Thanks to this amazing thread I have managed to get into some great routines and maintain them

    All recycling dealt with daily
    All post dealt with daily
Used own bags as much as possible for shopping
    Thought twice before buying anything
Order books from Library instead of buying

I dont have a great deal left to deal with but I do think its a case of maintaining now and I am sure there will always be something to declutter and I will be cheering these small victories so I'd like to come back to the thread if you will have me, I wont set a target bit I will list these small victories.

Thanks for listening to my waffle and keep up the great work guys (if there are any here) & girlies :T

Will be back shortly with an update if you'll have me back :o

    Hello :j

Thanks Donna for your kind words. Our house has been badly neglected hence getting into such a bad state. But I have a plan! :)

No decluttering today, work has knackered me.

    But
I did pile all my papers into one large bag ready to sort into wallets.
And dealt with the post straight away today.
Did a bit of fly lady to keep things ticking over

Saw a friend at a popular local charity shop and they are inundated with donations. So will donate my next lot to one that is struggling a bit and looks like it needs some stock.

    Every little declutter helps :A

Of course! It's not an exclusive club. Anything you've done is a baby step forward. No matter how small :)

  • Goodness ikklegibbon well done you on your massive clothes declutter, you must relish seeing your wardrobe so empty now! I did this a while ago and got rid of about 30 items , and now i just have clothes that i wear a lot more often and i love them.

    Bit more recycling
1 clock out,(gifted to friend) 2 tubs of cream (only £1 land ones) but they smelt "off"? and a very large bottle of baby shampoo used up ,(about 4 smaller ones in from christmas) one too big grey old bra thrown out. (36 items out)

This week i want to concentrate on decanting lots of smaller shower gels into one ..perhaps i should retreave that big empty bottle lol.
Also to go through my undies drawer i must have a fair few bras that do not fit me now.

oh and my friend wants material so im sure thats most of my material box gone ( i rarely sew but hate throwing any bits that i have out!)
    have a great week x

  • managed to declutter one pram with loads of accessories to consignment shop and one huge maternity coat i hate. i have however purchased a new buggy... it was my dream buggy....how sad but i thought last baby last buggy.... this is the 9th buggy inhave bought .....expecting 3rd child. i know its crazy when i see it written down ,haven,t told dh about new wheels... i,m hoping he wont notice? it looks similar to one we had 2 yrs ago.i figured the sale of old buggy will cover new one. .... i know i,m crazy ...managed to clear a few items from utility room....smallest room in the house and is full to the brim....question ...do most people do laundry on one day...several washesmor throughout the week.... i seem to have a constant pile of washing and ironing! Hoping project333 will help reduce this as we become more aware of our clothes?
No more toys til Xmas 2022 , mfw 2023 challenge , Trying to not waste food , time or money and appreciate the moment more!
