Morning all
Nice work everyone. :T I can barely keep up with all the efforts.
Last night managed to complete the sorting of the paperwork in my box file while watching Revenge so another load of papers brought in for the work confidential bin. 2 of my items on ebay also have bids :j0 -

Have been reading this site http://www.puttingmetogether.com/p/building-remixable-wardrobe-series.html for inspiration. I have put together a VERY short list of needs:
Thanks a lot for this museumworker. Have been having a bit of a read and have bookmarked. I hope to get inspiration from this because I have absolutely no idea how to put together outfits or accessorise. I wish I could afford to pay one of those people who come round to your house and create outfits for you based on what you have in your wardrobe :sad:0 -
I would love to join in, I have made a start already so far this year I have sold a box of books on @mazon, donated 2 black bags of clothes to a local CS, sold 20 balls of knitting wool from my stash, donated 2 threadbare duvets to a local animal sanctaury, and given 2 boxes of valueless text books to some students at my old uni.
We moved during the summer and whilst the house is pretty sorted the sheds are crammed with stuff that we no longer wanted or wouldn't fit in the new house My plan for the coming week is to go through it all as as soon as a shed is empty I can keep quail againI have made a start by listing our kayak on fleabay and have 2 bids and 28 watchers .....fingerscrossed
Another area needing work is food cupboards, I stockpile ingredients but have broken my number one rule ' buy what you eta and eat what you buy' I have a pantry full of stuff i haven't been using so need to address this by thinking creatively and trying not to buy so much ready made stuff from approved foods but try to stick to basic foodstuffs instead. Lastly I have a few kitchen gadgets i should get rid of but kitchen gadgets are a real weakness :embarasse i WILL try harder!!*****

Morning everyone! Feeling very positive today, more decluttering, more baking!
1. Sort out hanging bit of wardrobe ( hanging as in hanging up, not dirty!)
2. Got to make pastry for pastys for tomorrow, in laws round for lunch.
3. Want to do at least one large bag of rubbish out of the house and away before the children see it!
4. There are two drawers in the kitchen that I keep ignoring, but today they are having it, all going!
Have a good day0 -
hello! just popping in for an update. Decluttering here has been going slowly but is picking up pace again due to DS2 being about to leave home.
We've freecycled some excess stuff and will soon be decluttering our home of a load of junk(contents on DSs bedroom:D)
I'm also using it as an opportunity to start spring cleaning yesterday I started the windows in the lounge - it makes the whole room seem brighter and cleaner just having nice clean windows inside and out:T
A long way to go yet but we'll keep plodding on!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
just popped back to say Donna - your bedroom looks fab! well done!:T
purplevamp - well done on posting your photo - shall look forward to the finished result:)Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Not much decluttering happening here today as DD is off school poorly. Collecting DS from pre-school shortly, then carry on with paperwork work I need to get done.
Hope everyone is having a more successful day than I am.0 -
purplevamp well done on posting the photo - the only way is up (or organised and decluttered) from here. As I decluttering fiend, my hands were itching to come and 'help' youI need to shred desperately but find it so boring - when DD was little she used to love shredding - can;t even bribe her with money any more to do it
you should have crunched the crisps up mixed with cheese and put on top of a mac cheese or pasta bake
DS2 used to love shredding, too. Now I have to do it a bit at a time, because it's so dull. And noisy, so it's hard to watch TV or something at the same time!
Re: the crisps - they were those large packets, that had been opened and not sealed up again properly, so they were going soft and pulpy - yuk! Plus odd flavours - very strong onion ring crisps and bacon ones - not keen on those flavours. Otherwise, if they hadn't been opened and going soft, and had been flavours I liked, I'd have probably eaten them. I don't take that much notice of use by dates!
I've been at college this morning, but have done some more shredding (!) this afternoon. Have a few bits and pieces I need to do, so probably won't get much more done today.
At college I'm doing an adult education course about positive thinking, and we were talking about how getting rid of clutter makes space in your life for great new things to come in - very relevant!
...but i still have no idea what to wear :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Sadly even decluttering your wardrobe doesn't give you answers to the question 'what should I wear?'!Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
