I just don't want to waste money buying things that I wear a few times, then send off to the CS (or to the second hand clothes shop we have, to try and get some money for them) because I don't look like I thought I wouldI might need serious help!
A year or so ago, when I thought I had nothing to wear, instead of buying anything, I 'made' myself wear a different outfit (based around all the pairs of trousers I had - 5 pairs) every day for two weeks. It was easy, which made me realise that (a) I did have something to wear and (b) I quite liked my clothes and could make different outfits out of them. I think I might be a bit lazy, need to do that again ...
DoolallyDilly - we clearly are the height of fashion lol
I always have "favourite" outfits that I wear over and over again so I am hoping the Project 333 breaks this habit and makes me more experimental
Of course it helps that now all my wearable clothes are together, today will be the first day of using my new wardrobe as i have a friend coming to lunch....
...but i still have no idea what to wear :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

35 items from DDs wardrobe to charity
5 items from DDs wardrobe to recycling.
Learnt the secret to clearing a child's wardrobe. Just do it when they're not around! The number of years we've battled over it - and I just got on with it by myself and she thanked me when she got home!!!
I know those battles well...the good thing about my DD is she is almost 13 and adjusting from tomboy to almost girly girl - so when we did her wardrobe last week, she was quite happy for me to get rid of stuff
Can't wait to hear your DD's reaction to her empty wardrobe yesterday!0 -

I did the kids rooms first - they were easy, it was our wardrobes that proved to be a nightmare0 -
maid_in_cornwall wrote: »Wow, Donna, your bedroom looks amazing! Well done you!
Tomorrows itinery is going to be a bag from my bedroom and another bag from the little hallway by the freezer which attracts stuff like nowhere else on earth.
So that will be TEN bags out of the house
Head first into my clutter and get rid!
maid in cornwall - thank you
I must admit the room seems like it has doubled in size - its not normally so untidy and cluttered but since I had flu over xmas lots of stuff got dumped in there including the xmas tree and decs, laundry etc, its not normally so untidy.
Its lovely having tidy drawers and wardrobes and nothing stuffed under the bed (hubby thinks I can't see crap that he stashes and forgets about!!!)
TEN BAGS OUT - that's flippin brilliant well done x0 -

I shredded some more paperwork today, plus found some (well) out-of-date crisps in the cupboard - they're in the food waste bin now!
Thank you doolallydilly - upstairs is my favourite place to be at the moment lol! I intend to have the rest down by next week!!!
I need to shred desperately but find it so boring - when DD was little she used to love shredding - can;t even bribe her with money any more to do it
you should have crunched the crisps up mixed with cheese and put on top of a mac cheese or pasta bake0 -

And the areas which are still REALLY bad, when I declutter anything from them I'm going to aim to declutter a minimum of 10 items! Once the amount of stuff has reduced in the really bad areas I can then look to clear the shelf, floor etc. One step at a time
· Flylady and declutter 500 things in January! 293/500
· Reduce Spare room stuff by 10 items a time. Clear floor, desk, bed
· Sort Lounge papers with wallets. Clear table/shelves
· Clear Bedroom windowsill, boxshelf, floor
· Reduce Garage stuff by 10 items a time
· Reduce Loft stuff by 10 items at a time
look forward to hearing yoru progress xx0 -

I sorted through my 2 boxes of items to ebay and photographed everything ready to list tomorrow. Also sorted to carrier bags from them for the charity shop. (Sadly the one my mum volunteers in, and I used to, is too far away to donate to but I wish I could donate to them as they've been burgled twice since november!)
I also sorted through my packaging bag that i use to send ebay things.
And found lots more stuff to ebay/amazon.
Well done people! and good night:Dsuzeesu2000 wrote: »get one of those multi hole photo frames and make them into pictures? If you have a coffee table, get a glass top cut for it and display the card beneath the glass - great talking point...0 -
museumworker wrote: »Just working on my next 3 months - Feb to May. I played quite safe with outfits first time round so am thinking how I can inject a bit more variety/make it more suitable for Spring. Have been reading this site http://www.puttingmetogether.com/p/building-remixable-wardrobe-series.html for inspiration. I have put together a VERY short list of needs:
* chambray shirt
* perfect black pencil skirt
* mustard yellow or bottle green cardigan
* polka dot t-shirt
* grey t-shirt
* coloured (burgundy?) jeans
* long chain to put pendant on (chain on last one broke)
* possibly possibly a coloured blazer
Found the chambray shirt for £2 on a sale rail, and am looking out for the rest. It was good to write a list of what I wanted as over the last few days have been thinking 'oh, I have something I could use instead of that'. Planning to go through my bags of clothes and pick out items to use, and HOPEFULLY will be a bit more ruthless with getting rid of stuff. TBH am enjoying the whole capsule wardrobe thing, so what's the point of keeping bags and bags of stuff I won't use?
Might 'cheat' or adapt slightly to include more jewellery/scarves. I LOVE jewellery and have lots that I wear and that would add a massive amount of variety. Haven't decided yet though, might stick to the 33 for the next 3 months before I return to work in June.
I found the jewellery really hard, I have a few "good" bits of jewellery and love my junk stuff too....I decided on two blue necklaces and one diamonte necklace...hoping this is enough!loopychriss wrote: »(mainly trying to get a quilt finished I started 4 years ago in March)purplevamp wrote: »Not much done today, as I was at

Small plastic jug
