    museumworker...finished my project 333:

    1 black cardigan
    2 grey/white cardi
    3 multicoloured oversized jumper
    11 (8x) shirts in various colours
    13 (2x) t-shirts
    16 (3x) necklace
    18 (2x) boots
    23 (5x) trousers (dont do skirts/dresses!)
    24 leggings
    29 (5x) vests to wear under shirts/jumper
    32 assortment of scarves - couldn't decide so will eliminate as I start to figure out outfits
    33. Diamond earrings

    NOT INCLUDED 2x poncho white and black (need these for work its cold)
    Handbag - I only ever use one huge one

    Thanks for posting, and well done! Have you hid everything else away and enjoyed that spacious wardrobe feeling?

    No skirts :eek:! I have the opposite problem - is almost impossible to find trousers that fit my (short) legs!

    Just working on my next 3 months - Feb to May. I played quite safe with outfits first time round so am thinking how I can inject a bit more variety/make it more suitable for Spring. Have been reading this site http://www.puttingmetogether.com/p/building-remixable-wardrobe-series.html for inspiration. I have put together a VERY short list of needs:
    * chambray shirt
    * perfect black pencil skirt
    * mustard yellow or bottle green cardigan
    * polka dot t-shirt
    * grey t-shirt
    * coloured (burgundy?) jeans
    * long chain to put pendant on (chain on last one broke)
    * possibly possibly a coloured blazer
    Found the chambray shirt for £2 on a sale rail, and am looking out for the rest. It was good to write a list of what I wanted as over the last few days have been thinking 'oh, I have something I could use instead of that'. Planning to go through my bags of clothes and pick out items to use, and HOPEFULLY will be a bit more ruthless with getting rid of stuff. TBH am enjoying the whole capsule wardrobe thing, so what's the point of keeping bags and bags of stuff I won't use?

    Might 'cheat' or adapt slightly to include more jewellery/scarves. I LOVE jewellery and have lots that I wear and that would add a massive amount of variety. Haven't decided yet though, might stick to the 33 for the next 3 months before I return to work in June.

  • Wow, well done everyone, not been on for a few days. Trying to give myself some 'computer-free' time so I can concentrate on other things (mainly trying to get a quilt finished I started 4 years ago in March). Also it will stop me staying up till 1am getting sore eyes and then not being able to get to sleep until 3am.

    So.... found a few things over the weekend, yesterday had granddaughter for the day so nothing got done, and today I've been in bed all day with headache/sore throat, so have done no decluttering today. Still, there's plenty of time.. it's only half way through the month!

    85, 86 2 hooded sweatshirts - charity bag
    87 1 quilting book - charity shop
    88 Loads of last year's Christmas cards (unsent ones) that I don't want to store for another year - charity bag
    89 A purse - charity bag
    90 A leather wallet - charity bag
    91 A plastic storage box I don't need any more - charity shop

    Good luck everyone, and Keep on Decluttering!
    Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

    I need to check out my small chest-freezer tomorrow. There's some ice forming around the hinges - not sure if it could be something to do with the downstairs porch being rather damp. I did notice some condensation forming on the side of the freezer when we first moved in, but didn't reckon on it becoming ice :eek:. Can see me having to tackle it with the steamer and then give it a good drying - hope it works :(. Wonder if a dehumidifier would be of any help ......................

    I'll get back to you all in the morning - Lilyplonk xx

    Lilyplonk, we are having the same problem with our chest freezer in the utility room, please let me know how you get on.

    Hope you are settling in ok after your move.

    Morning

    For those feeling overwhelmed don't lose heart.

    This is hard work but we can make it a bit more fun or feel a bit easier by playing some music, doing a timed declutter of say 15 minutes.

    Focus your decluttering on things that are in the way. Annoying you. Or even upsetting you.

    I have some books on the top of the stairs that have bad vibes so need to go. :j

    You will get things more under control. You can do this. :A

    Who's up for a mad 15 minutes of decluttering today? :j

    mineallmine - your posts really inspire me !:A:A

    Today i have decluttered several handbags and 1 purse, one pair of jeans, and various tops.

    donnajt - your bedroom looks amazing!!!

    Donna, your bedroom looks great!

    I had a box of paperwork in my sights to declutter today, but never quite got round to it.

    Still I listed a couple of bits on eBay, so some progress has been made.

    I took some old towels to the clothing bank as well, so I've actually done quite well after all when I think about it!

    Not much done today, as I was at work, although I came home early as I'm feeling pooky :(. But have managed to do a few little things:-

    • 7 videos, binned and covers in recycling (they were copies :naughty: :shhh:)
    • junk mail sorted and recycled
    • empty make up tub, bin
    Yesterday I put 5 things on ebay, 1 watcher, no bids yet :cool: and I put a cd on Amazon today.

    [STRIKE]If I'm feeling brave I'll put a photo of my bedroom up, if only to make you all
    feel better about your rooms!!![/STRIKE] I may be feeling brave but I'm more embarrased :o:o:o:o. I had to stand on the bed to get the full effect!!!
