    2 more pairs of shoes junked - that leaves me 4 pairs of work shoes including a sturdy pair that work as snow-boots, 3 pairs of trainers including a manky gardening pair, a pair of sandals and 2 pairs of slippers. That'll do me until a pair is worn to death.

    Hello

    I've decluttered the bathroom. Lots of empty containers, air freshener, old toothbrush empty tube of toothpaste all gone to the relevant recycling container or bin. I have given it a good clean it looks so much better.
    A broken,decorative lantern had also gone.
    Put the remains of the washing powder into the next box, the packaging has been recycled.

    Enjoy the rest of the day whatever your plans.

  • I have cleared out and cleaned cupboard under sink and thrown away old cleaning sponges and cloths. took note of what we had plenty of etc.

    also done cupboard under stairs have found some old shoes that are out grown and retrieved all the wellie boots ready for the snow

    then sorted out all my oh drawers plenty of rubbish in them old socks etc .

    oh went in garden and burnt all our confidential waste which we have been sorting out so thats another bag out the way.

    thats all I have time to do today so will hopefully continue next weekend. when you look back its amazing what you have achieved doing a bit at a time. soon mounts up
    You can if you think you can .
  • I'm doing OK - three bags of clothes sorted from the hanging rails, big pile on top of the chest of drawers and the floordrobe. I've got clothes I'd forgotten all about. Just building up the strength to go back for one final push on the cardigans!

    Probably still keeping too much, but some of the clothes haven't been worn because I never found them so I'm giving a little bit of benefit of the doubt for now and I'll have another sort in a few months when I have actually been able to find more than the same old things!

    Three bin bags for the jumble sale so far just from the piles and the rail....

    Back from church. Very cold sleet :-( but on the plus side...
    1) Ned card (given to children on a family holiday some years ago - seemed funny cos up in Scotland ned is equivalent to Chav, standing for 'Non-Educated Delinquent'
    2) Plaster cast of eldest child at the beginning of her dental hospital treatment
    3) Bumph that came with photo driving licence and doesn't need keeping. Which reminds me. Did you know it's going to be compulsory to have updated paper driving licences to photo ones by 2015 (mine's still paper) and then to renew every 10 years (costs £20 but fine is up to £1000)
    4) Old receipts
    5) Worn-out felt-tips
    6&7) old children's glasses. Thanks to whoever put link for overseas medicine. I looked up to see if there's a similar scheme for glasses and there is, so DD is going to drop these off at Boots http://www.visionaidoverseas.org/recycle
    8) Plastic containers => rc
    9) Discoloured artificial white roses => bin
    10) Broken clarinet reed in little plastic container => bin
    11 - 12) two boxes from mobiles, stickers transferred to very sensible safe place
    13) Broken, well I don't even know what it was let alone why it was being kept safely in a drawer. It was black and plastic lol
    So that's another 2 kitchen drawers tidied. The family bathroom looks lovely with the cacti and red candles relocated to there. A large olive jar has been repurposed to hold cashew nuts. Last night I got home and OH was lighting candles in the clean and tidy sitting room. We watched Top Hat.

    3 bags of clutter to CS this morning.

    Old newspapers and used envelopes, junk mail etc to recycling.

    Have started to go through the books that we have everywhere. Most came from the CS - now I have read them, many can go back :)

    OH is currently tackling the small conservatory at the back of the house - making room in there for the small freezer so that he can fit more [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] 'useful equipment' in his workshop :rotfl:
  • * Receipts - shredded
    * Two pairs of trousers - CS
    * Two scarves - CS
    Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
