Morning!
Could - that sounds like a plan
Charliesmum - isn't it great when you make such a difference to a room like the kitchen :j
Dundee - decluttering and pampering at the same time, fab! :j
Suz - very organised ideas there. I'm realising that more every time. A place for everything and everything in its place. I'm working hard on this
Lobby - I'd aim to do the larder first. It's a bit more black and white to do. If something is massively out of date it makes the choice for you :j
Wendy - most charity shops accepts bras too. I donate any bra hangers too. :A
Well today I could walk up to the wardrobe and get something out without reaching across clutter! Just need to do the same to hubby's side today. A lot of the clutter there is my stuf!
Used up another toiletry today so will add that to my tally.
Also did a big sort through toiletries to dig out some things to use up. :j
Best of luck everyone with your decluttering. You'll feel so much better by just making a start. In just 5 minutes. During the tv ads. Now crack onDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Morning folks,
You all seem to be doing so well.
I haven't managed any decluttering for the past few days as it has been so busy at work.
I am free this afternoon so hopefully some more things will leave the house.
Happy decluttering everyone.:)0 -
Good morning :hello: all - brrrrrrr it's a bit
today!
Congrats on all your decluttering yesterday - most of you were working at it far better than I was- even BlackSavings with her magazines/glass of wine did far more than I managed :rotfl:.
My excuse is that I had my dgs3 for the day and overnight; dgs2 decided that he would much rather stay with his young uncle and go to watch the Everton footie match, than spend time with his boring old narnie bimbling around the charity shops of our local town centre.
However - I did get a positive response to my Freecycle advert for the flattened packing boxes, and met a lovely lady from South Liverpool who is about to move herself and assist her friend to move. The delight on her face when she saw the number of boxes was reward in itself. There were about 40 of them in total, various sizes, so that's one empty lock-up ready for painting and some shelves to be installed :j!
Plan for today is to try to match up a 'curtain track end stop'; I've no idea what make they are - it's just that one of the set of curtains had one at one end, but not at the other. I've now changed the curtains that were up at the windows for my own, but of course need that missing 'end stop'. There's a fabric/curtain place open today in Liverpool, so I'm taking a trip there - with dgs3 in tow - and with fingers crossed that they stock something the same/similar. Being a Mrs Pennypincher, I'm loathe to spend money on new curtain tracks when I don't really need to
.
dgs3 has finally surfaced, so this is now the end of my PC time - he wants to play with Fireman Sam.
I'll pop back in later when DS2 and his girlfriend have been to collect him - hope they've not got snowed in around North Wales!

Hi all
I have had a slower week on the decluttering front this week due to work. Really need to get back on it today. I have managed to sort a set of drawers out this morning. Yesterday I sorted through some slimming world stuff to sell on ebay so that will be 27 magazines, 4 calendars 7 magazine supplements and a couple of books out of the house. I was going to keep some of the supplements but then decided to photograph the pages on the iPad so I have copies of those recipes still anyway!
Am hoping to get the kitchen sorted today as that is the room that hasn't had a good sort through yet!

Really enjoying this thread, will tackle my glass recycling today - built up for so long that it fills my shopping trolley!
On medicine recycling, many pharmacies just destroy returned drugs. I send mine to help people overseas who can't afford them. The chariity is called Intercare and you can just post your drugs to them- I do. List of what they accept at http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CB8QFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.intercare.org.uk%2Fdonate-medicines%2Fwhat-can-be-donated&ei=pHjyUI_BNIXO0QXl9IHQCw&usg=AFQjCNH4pajcnsvOKoZfTJrC-W-gWmxUXQ. I am back form a week away with the family and raring to go!
Spent the day doing washing yesterday and spent two hours sorting through paperwork too. I managed to throw lots away, shredded some too but shredder overheated so I still have a large pile to go through it.
I have a plan for the week outlined for each day to try to keep my focused.
Sunday - washing/ironing. Tidy house ready to clean on Monday. Clear out one cupboard.
Monday- cleaning. Declutter 10 items from around the house whilst cleaning. Ironing.
Tuesday - working then have family over in the eve so not much except ironing that day I expect.
Wednesday- 3 hours of paperwork decluttering. My aim isto get the paperwork finished, with the stuff that needs to be kept, boxed up ready to be put in the loft next weekend. Finish all the shredding.
Thursday- is my day with DS so I will to declutter 10 items but no more.
I haven't got any further than this as I also have quite a few hours of work to get done from home this week which will probably end up being done in the evenings.0 -
Morning all...actually slept in until 9 this morning so I think i have had almost 6 hours sleep which is a first in 14 days!!!
Def doing our bedroom today as this is the last room upstairs, so that would take me to the half mile mark yippee!!0 -
I got slightly distracted with ebay, but have made the most of the free listing weekend to relist unsold items.
Off to get myself and the kids dressed so we actually get something done today!0
