    Not really in the mood today, started in my bedroom thinking I could chuck out lots of underwear but only managed to find:

    3 bras

    Switched tack to the hall where found it easier to chuck out:
    2 handbags
    Changing bag (complete with nappy sacks and changing mat)
    2 coats
    Purse
    Lip gloss set
    Flag
    Dried up wet wipes
  • still feeling absolutely rotten today but will attempt to declutter something.. think I'll try the magazine explosion that's all over the house!! :eek:
    Giving everyone a big :T as I've been trying to cheer myself up by reading about all the good work you've been doing ;)

    if anyone is wondering where the lids and/or bottoms of all your tupperware goes I can confirm that the portal ends in my corner cupboard.

    sorry - but this has to stop.

    I have married up the lids and bottoms and thrown 1 black bin bag of unpartnered bits, and yet I still have more than 50 plastic receptacles, which I don't use....

    tomorrow I am culling these to between 5-10, and that portal is closing.

    1 more bag of old kids clothes to cs and some random bits binned.

    apparently I find letting go of plastic boxes REALLY difficult. They all look so intrinsically useful. still I'm down to about 20, I am going to promise myself to go through them again in a couple of months time and get rid of the ones I don't use.
    also decluttered 3 ice cube trays, a sterilliser, an awkward pie dish, a lemon juicer, one of those hand puree-ers and some other bits and pieces.

    So now have a lovely baking shelf and storage shelf in that cupboard instead of one where everything tumbles out onto your head.
    :AA/give up smoking (done) :)

    museumworker I have just been reading up on Project 333 and I am really keen to give it a go! My bedroom is next on the declutter list so hopefully get round to this over the weekend - can I ask what did you chose for accessories?

    I chose:
    * short necklace
    * long necklace
    * pair of earrings
    * pair of knee length boots (vintage leather)
    * pair of ankle boots (riding style)
    * light circular scarf (patterned)
    * wool pashmina (patterned)
    * small cross body leather bag
    * did have small bum bag, but swapped in large satchel style bag instead
    * leather belt for jeans
    * waist belt (which is now too big so swapped for another one).

    These have been enough for me. Didn't count pair of gloves, hat, vests (i need to wear as breastfeeding), or tights.

    HTH, and let us know what you pick as your 33 items.

    Under the bed and bathroom cupboard done :j

    Two bags of general tat in the bin. I large bag for CS plus a portable TV out of the garage which was put there over a year a ago 'in case we need it'. Must stop doing that :o

    Have had a really good clean under the bed and dread to think when it was done last.

    DH has done the charity shop and recycling run for me so I thought I'd mention sorting out his clothes tomorrow as I think I might be in danger of pushing my luck:)

    My job for tomorrow is under DS bed:eek: Wish me luck as I have a feeling I'm going to need it...

  • Had big big plans today - was meant to have 4 hours child free while they were with their dad but got a text message this morning saying he couldn't make it as he is ill so I rang him and he sounded ok to me but says he's not been to work all week so 2 things occurred to me -
    1. No 4 hours child free today
    2. He probably won't have got paid while he's been off so child support money will be down.
    I have plonked the kids in front of the wii (think what you want about bad parenting) and am having an hour decluttering - they will be better off in the long run when all the stuff we don't need is out of our house and mummy is happier :)

  • My decluttering is spreading...
    My mom is undergoing a large building project to enable us to move nan from her home into mom and dad's - the only problem is that both mom and nan are magnetic pack rats - they not only attract stuff but then won't get rid them. I've been helping them to sort through their stuff on and off for years but now it's serious.
    I spent most of Thursday cleaning out Mom's pantry and airing cupboard and now they are both empty (for how long I daren't think).
    Well, while I was doing it, I got to thinking about my stuff. So I'm going to help my hubby liberate some of his crud at the same time as culling my accessories. I'm just waiting for him to finish watching a TV programme and then the whirlwind will begin.

    I'd rather be watching CSI!

    No judgement here Starting :j Sometimes a bit of Wii etc is ok. You've got the bit between your teeth now. Let us know how you get on.
    So far today decluttered:
    1.2. Old socks

    I have to be a bit more ruthless. Certain rooms are now not that bad. Eg bathroom, living room, hall. So I must focus on the upstairs rooms now.

    Who's up for a burst of decluttering for 5/10/15 minutes? :j
    3. Used up a face cream that's been hanging about. Cut it open to get the last dregs out
    4. Finished a skin care sample. Normally these would be hanging around for ages. Recycled the packaging for both of these.
    5. More old socks
    6. Scarf hanger to CS
    7. Sandwich toaster to cs shop that accepts electricals

    So that's another 7 items gone :j
    :) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

    Less things. Less stuff. More life.
