Bit of a struggle today. It's friday and i'd rather be celebrating than decluttering, but faint heart ne'er won fair house so...
1) membership application - if i apply it'll be online!
2) programme i have no need to keep
3) broken stop clock
4) odd earring
5) card which says pretend you are a teapot?!
6) a few multi- vitamins use by 3/2009 and their container
7-10) old cook books as in old tatty so paper recycle
11) dates which look highly dubious, have no best before but guessing it would have been BC!
12) 1 kazoo
13) 5 odd gloves - if any starfish have cold ends to their stars get to our bin quick!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

I've sorted out a bit more of DS1's bedroom. I've mended the bed slats ~ 2 are broken so will go to the tip tomorrow, along with his mattress. I've washed down the walls and woodwork and we're letting it dry overnight before DS2 goes in there.
My saver bags came today so they have a king size duvet in one, pillows and bedding in another, and loads of cuddly toys in a third. I've thrown the old saver bag out as it didn't keep the air out.
That is all I have done today, but I have been at work. Tomorrow is another day.Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £82,340.34 May 2037Swagbucks ~ £155 (2024 ~ £395)Surveys ~ £160.79 (2024 ~ £280.14)Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £964.62 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)0 -
sorted a few more bits and pieces out today, but two pairs of pyjamas and a phone case actually left the house and I'm please to say money came into the house for them0

Good day today, tidying-wise. Had someone come to view the house at 11 so manic tidying/hoovering/shoving things in cupboards and drawers for 2 hours beforehand!
Dropped 2 bags into charity shop later; wasn't meaning to do that today, but I had put them in the boot of the car so they'd be out of the way for when the viewers came and as we were near a charity shop later, they got dropped off. Killed 2 birds with one stone!
House now lovely and tidy (apart from all the drawers/cupboards) so I did nothing for the rest of the day!
Out:
2 sacks for charity shop
Grandson's trousers given back to his mum (I'd taken the hems up)
81. 4 pairs pretty knickers for granddaughter; I bought these last year for when she starts potty training. She's now starting, so gave them to daughter
82. 1 top too small for granddaughter
83. 1 pair leggings too small for granddaughter
84. 1 pair of boots ditto
Been reading the Hoarding and My Home's a Mess forums too, and have made a few decisions re other possessions, so will make a start on those over the weekend, will list them when I do them though.
Everyone's doing so well, the support on here is really encouraging. Hopefully we'll all get decluttered, tidy houses by the end of the year!!!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

happytails hope you're ok with the cramps and general lack of energy. feel better soon.
lilyplonk good to hear you're in and settling well into your new home
donnajt thanks for the photos, very inspirational!
Thanks for linking to the toothbrush principle dundeedoll. About halfway through now, and have started on the bathroom exercise, where you list what everyone uses and the best place to put it. On the weekend I will put away everything not on that list for a fortnight to see how we get on without it .
On the old thread, some of you may remember I started project 333, and said I would update you. Well, it's been 2 months now and it's been a great experience. Firstly, I always have something to wear, as it's a great incentive to keep on top of your laundry! It's made me realise what I do actually wear, rather than what I think I do. e.g I gave myself 3 skirts, but have only worn one twice. I also have gone down from 3 dresses to 2 which I have worn frequently. I swapped in an extra top, and when I get round to it will add in a couple of jumpers. I have less to look after so much time saved there, and it's made me realise that it's nice to have nice clothes, but it's not worth losing precious time over when you can get by with so little. To be honest I'm not even really wearing all of the 33 items! Am already planning my next 333 wardrobe for Feb-April!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

.........So I'm hoping someone can help me please - I have a number of old bread knives that I want to get rid of but how?
Daren't just put them in the bin, not sure whether charity shops will take them.... help!
When I had knives that I wanted to get rid of, I took them along to my local Police Station. I just explained that I didn't want to put them in the bin in case any local hooigans got hold of them OR the binmen might injure themselves on them.
They were very understanding and disposed of them safely.0 -
Decluttered the last of the christmas cards and made them in to tags and embellishments for christmas prezzies and homemade christmas cards for 2013.
Got a new bin bag starting to fill up with things for the local charity shop.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

thank you
I am going to have to go back to the old thread now cos I am intrigued by your Project 3330 -
if anyone is wondering where the lids and/or bottoms of all your tupperware goes I can confirm that the portal ends in my corner cupboard.
sorry - but this has to stop.
I have married up the lids and bottoms and thrown 1 black bin bag of unpartnered bits, and yet I still have more than 50 plastic receptacles, which I don't use....
tomorrow I am culling these to between 5-10, and that portal is closing.
1 more bag of old kids clothes to cs and some random bits binned.:AA/give up smoking (done)0
