Decluttering 2013, the saga continues ...

My declutter start. Though tbh am just procrastinating as don't want to start lesson planning!
1. old cat scratch pad thrown out
2. 6 DVDs listed on amazon*
3. 28 unwanted VHS boxed up for parents/car boot/tip (freed up space used to house homeless DVDs)*
(*won't count them in my total until they are out of the house as technically they are still cluttering me up!)
I've also started a notebook to keep record of what I declutter in hopes it will spur me on when I've lost interest or got too much else to do!
Am about to put decs back in loft, though a little unsure about what wild life up there might munch on what's left in time for next Christmas!0 -
Morning all.
A lot of sorting today as I had to take out my old washing machine after it blew up while waiting for the new one to be delivered.
I have also managed to sort out about 30 books for the charity shop. Onwards and upwards.:j1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Well - started to declutter wardrobe into new set of plastic drawers & I need another set! I have decluttered some paperwork that was lurking in the bottom & then found a box at the back of the wardrobe filled with old cards - started reading them - FATAL. Lots there from my boys when they were little & I can't bear to get rid of them although I'll give my DS's their old school reports- lol
I am trying - really
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

That happened to me when I decluttered my wardrobe last spring! I gave in and bought the 2nd set as it meant that my drawers are now organised and I can actually find things and store them relatively neatly (rather than stuffing them in gaps!). Have only needed to 'tidy' them up once when I had another declutter in late autumn, so I think the purchase was justified! Get a 2nd set of drawers, I say!;)0 -

I have to confess, it turned up on Facebook this morning and I simply couldn't resist making it part of my sig:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
