Cleared out my wardrobe, prepared a bag for charity shop : one top ( did the rest before Christmas), two warm scarves, three "silk" scarves, two handbags. Tidied the rest so I know what I've got and where to find it.
Generally tidied bedroom and dusted.
Pile of magazines to pass on to my sister.
Just hope I have set DH a good example and he will make a start!
All tidy and dusted downstairs. Plenty of paper for recycling bin.
Tidied kitchen cupboards, wine rack, soft drinks etc - no need to buy anything for a while.
Just a quick greengrocery shop this morning + ham, rolls - less than £10 spent whereas if i'd gone to the supermarket it would have been £25 at keast.0 -

dHi peeps,
Ok, went to CS today with a boot full of decluttered stuff! Sooo pleased that's out of the way, was blocking up my hallway!!:j
Kitchen drawer -of- doom sorted:T
Anti-depressant withdrawal effects are easing off today, thank goodness, so my body is de-cluttering itself in a way!

You could take a photo of the old receipts and store it digitally - that's what i have been trying to do anyway for bigger purchases.
I think I'm going to be a weekend declutterer, there isn't time during the week. Cleared out the tupperware cupboard today and got rid of several boxes without lids and lids without boxes. Didn't have the heart to throw out the microwave set DMIL gave me a few years ago though I've never yet used it. Maybe will be able to tomorrow when I'm taking stuff to the charity shop.
Well done everyone!0 -
Hello everyone, hope all is well
Yesterday I managed to clear out all the drawers in my bedroom even the dreaded one so now have a bag for the charity shop.
Today I took 4 bags to the skip and a gameing chair that was all ripped. I have finally cleared out the filling cabinet and organised what is left in it
off to catch up on how well everyone else is doing

Hi all, reading this thread inspired me to tackle a 'full of rubbish' drawer. Gave loads of costume jewellery to Mum, made her happy, threw a load of stuff away, put odd bit in charity box by front door and found a box of broken gold jewellery and odd earrings. Took it to jewellers and it was worth £19, yippee! Now, where can I declutter next....Working hard to to pay off the mortgage within 5 years instead of 9 by considering every penny spent. Aiming to go part time the and enjoy a simple life with simple pleasures!0

Rest of Christmas decs put away in loft - goodness, there is a lot of clutter in there
Our 'loft' is actually a low cupboard under the eaves of the house, as we have a loft conversion. So you have to crawl about in there - decided against too much of that this morning
Carted a large black bag full of 'stuff' to the CS
This mostly consisted of things I had sorted out before (I only get to visit CS at weekends as I work full time) plus some other items I chucked in this morning - 2 old handbags and a sheet to fit a bed I no longer have.
Trouble with charity shops though ....
You can buy things in them as well
So I came back with:
A lovely marble lamp with a pretty green shade for the spare bedroom (so I will declutter the one that is there at the moment, plus another random one that came from I know not where. Our local hospice CS takes electrical items, and they both work fine)
A new bag of pot pourri (so the old stuff that has lost its smell goes in the bin!)
2 unused 'posh' shower gels
A burger press
A book of biscuit recipes
Oh well, you win some, you lose some :rotfl:
More decluttering in order I think!0
