suzeesu2000, thanks for the calendar link. It's very affirming seeing how many things I've already done (glass half-full mentality :D).

Recipe [STRIKE]file[/STRIKE] tip dealt with and reduced to a fraction of it's former self. All recyclable padded envelopes and wrapping paper dealt with. Lot's more unwanted paper to get out the house. Trip to charity shop and recycling/dump planned for this afternoon on the way to take DS2 into town.

  • Hello all, I've been so busy I haven't found the time to pop in. You are all doing so well. I'm still doing little bits and bobs to declutter here and there as have finally got on top of it all! I'll try pop in soon but so busy all the time at the moment.

I'm still going strong in the garage, picking away at the mess and have filled up 3 bin bags with rubbish.
I've packed away all the christmas decorations/lights and thrown away a few more. Freezer defrosted cleaned and restarted and I've rehomed all the empty jam jars into a carboard box that will go into the cellar until jam making time.

Unfortunately I didn't realise the tip shut at 3 so I still have piles of metal, card and paper to get rid of.
    Trying to keep in budget.

  • In the theme of decluttering, I tend to hang onto receipts - could anyone recommend a free, simple, downloadable budgeting template?
  • Hi all

Hope the decluttering is keeping everyone busy. Today I have banned tv until the playroom and kids room had been cleaned and tidied. Have to say they have worked hard, my 10 yr old has said let's leave the rest of the tidying until tomorrow! I think they have truly had enough. Hopefully they will think twice before making such a mess.

I found 3 games that have never been opened so they have made their way to the present cupboard! The area I had set aside in the garage for ebay selling is filling up.

Off to sort the rest of the house now!

  • flyingmamma - you can check Martin's handy thingy to work out if they are worth anything, here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/mobile-recycling

I've found out my old mobile is worth nearly £40, so have sent off for the Asda pack thing to send it off.
