I can't help with the budgeting template, although I think if you search this site, there might be something. My 'rule' with receipts is that I only keep them for clothes until those clothes have been worn and washed about three times, and the purchase has appeared on my bank statement, then they are shredded. For food and other consumables, I keep until it's appeared on my bank statement. For gadgets and white goods etc, I check that it's gone through on the statement, then staple the receipt to the instruction manual/warranty, and file.
Does that helpEnjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Some good decluttering going on, well done everyone.I tackled the boys room today. With their help we now have two carrier bags of rubbish and a bin bag of clothes for the cs. We didn't do every cupboard and drawer but it's a start, looks much better, we'll tackle the rest during the next holiday. Back to school for us all on Monday and lots of sporting activitie so that limits the time available for home stuff.
Will hopefully be back tomorrow but it might be the ironing that is decluttered.

OK, I've got to start decluttering this year. Sign me up. I was reading this thread last night and decided to take the plunge. Stayed up til 3am rummaging and putting stuff on the clutter pile.
I think doodledoo's 13 items a day is a fantastic idea. I'm going to do a running total though rather than worry about days that I miss to allow for days I'm away etc. So need to aim for 4745 items over the year.
I'm just back from the charity shop (as a result of last night's declutter) where I left in:
53 books
1 box set of CDs
1 pendant necklace still in its box
1 cheongsam dress and matching bag
1 jewellery set : watch, earrings, necklace, ring still in box
1 set of earrings, necklace, bracelet still in box
1 pair of red stilettos
1 3/4 size electric guitar
1 keyboard (never used)
2 bottles of nail varnish unopened
1 lip gloss unopened
1 mascara unopened (all the cosmetics from sets I got, and I don't wear make up)
2 packets of rollers
So 67 items in total
Also have 4 pots of hair gels/waxes some barely used. I used to have short hair, but I've grown it out so don't need them anymore. I asked my brother just now if he wanted them and he said yes. So he's getting them along with a jigsaw.
That brings the total up to 72.
There was also a guitar case and another electric guitar lying around that belonged to a friend, who only lives down the road. I just texted him to see if he still wanted it. He left it here at least 6 years ago and has been in the house plenty of times since but never brought it home. Told him I was doing a clear out and it was going to the charity shop if he didn't want it. He was around in 5 minutes to collect them.So that's 74 items.
As it's the 5th today, i should have 13*5 items decluttered, so I'm now a little ahead of myself and have the bug and wondering what else I can get rid of. It's addictive!
It is amazing how much stuff accumulates in the house so quickly. Those books didn't even leave a dent in the number of books I have in the house. It just meant there aren't so many piled up all over the place. No buying unnecessary toiletries 2013: Start 112 items 01/01/13

2 more bags of clothes taken to the recycling shop, so another £8.50 in my pocket.
In the process of putting these bags together, I havs gotten rid of 2 bags from the garage and 2 from the loft.
Thanks for the link to the selling old mobiles - I came across a very old phone in one of the bags from the loft, and having checked on that link it is worth about £16 off will see what I can get for it tomorrow in store.
Tidied empty bags today, and got rid of quite a few and tonight/tomorrow will go through my chest of drawers in the bedroom, to see what I other clothes I can find to recycle.
Two drawers already done in the kids room, and items for a car boot put separately in the garage so I know where they are when the time comes.2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000
