  • hi everyone; thanks for this new thread, i found it really helpful last year - well, until summer when i got a bit distracted (new man!!) . Now i need to continue my decluttering as i definitely must clear out my garage and continue with decluttering my house too. I have been off work today with a poorly daughter but have managed to pop to the charity shop with 4 bin bags of stuff that was stored in the garage! I reckon that's at least 50 things gone already! Keep up the good work everyone, it's really inspiring to hear how everyone is doing :) DDfD xxx

Well the desk isn't clear yet but found a £15 i tunes voucher so I feel I've been paid :)

Decluttered another 6 items - all bits laying around, all off to the CS shop. Includes an unused shower mask, a handheld fan, a bracelet and some other bits. And a bag of paperwork which I'm counting as one item. If I counted the paperwork I'd be up to a million items! :(

Right that's enough for today. Little and often is working well :j

  • Manic day.. work load is back so it's a bit harder to keep up with the thread. Still managed to out some wardrobe backing thats been lurking in the front for 2 months, and several boxes stuffed with Christmas packaging, daughters snowboots are gone too. I actually have space in the understairs cupboard for the first time since I moved in! WOOT!

  • silvasaver (sorry can't quote on my phone) that's a good idea, nothing sentimental in this lot of gold though, but I do have a couple of things I could do that with.
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Took a bag of books to the CS near to work, there should be less book hoarding now I have my kindle.
I also want to say I absolutely love my bin men! Most year's we have a black bag amnesty for the first wheelie bin collection after Christmas and you can put an extra bag out. This year there was no notification we could do this but I put out 3 of the poundland Christmas pudding bags with my bin and they took them all (mostly discarded wrappings and packaging) so no trip to the tip needed:D

Really good afternoon decluttering - now got 3 bags of stuff for the charity shop, 2 bags of broken toys/stuff not fit for CS in the bin and put all the remaining toys for DS in his drawers in the lounge. The little corner in the lounge is looking much better now!
