    Hello everyone.

De-cluttering has now officially stopped for a while, as I'm going on holiday next Saturday. The cases are down from the loft, and I'm now going to re-clutter the house, by getting out things to pack.

However, a few more things have been de-cluttered in the last couple of weeks

330 Old, empty postcard album – recycling
    331 2 old postcards –eBay
332 Old suntan lotion bottles – recycling
333 Baggy old hoodie – clothing bank

I'll be away for three and a half weeks (longest holiday I've ever had). When I return I'll sort myself out, and then hope to do a bit more de-cluttering. My target is 365 for the year, so I should get there.

Trip to the recycling centre today:
    - the sack of tetrapacks
    - the broken bathroom bin
    - 5 cracked/broken plastic planters
    - two cardboard boxes from the garage
    - 3 empty paint pots
    - a huge bag left behind by the builders
    - a ripped sunbed waterproof cover
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

    Hi

I have not read much of this thread but I would like to join. I will be moving home soon so I need to declutter.

Last night I threw away old school certificates, I kept GCSE and A level certificates but got rid of all the others, I hadn't even looked at them for years. I also threw out a lot of university papers too, it was really hard to get rid of both things.

I wonder if the university library would accept textbooks? They are not the latest edition, but I think it would be a better place for them to go than the charity shop.

I also got some vacuum storage bags.
  • you could try somewhere like Zapper.co.uk to see if you could get any money for the textbooks Sophlowe? I've had some decent money back even for some that weren't the latest edition.

I feel quite pleased with our progress today.

    * OH finally cut the whole hedge, parts of it hasn't been cut for 2 years, the garden bin is now full ready to be emptied tomorrow
    * I have cleaned the washing machine and done all the ironing
    * I spent 10 minutes sorting through my wardrobe, 2 items are going to the charity shop and 3 items have been demoted to gardening clothes
    * OH is cooking a roast dinner at the moment which is using up loads of vegetables that would otherwise ended up in the bin
    * 1 foot scrub and 1 body scrub have been used up

I am planning on spending 10 minutes every other night this week to continue to sort through my wardrobe.

  • Today is the day I am going to begin de cluttering. Decided to work on one room at time and take it steady due to health issues. Even if its just a drawer or something. Going to start in the kitchen as its not as bad as the other rooms lol. will work up to the bedroom and all its still not unpacked boxes and tubs.
