I am chucking out a broken DIY wallpaper stripper today, we tried to repair it but it's not having it.
  • Took apart a wooden/metal garden 2 person seat, hasn't been used in past 6 years or so. Has been taken to the dump/tip. (Its companion will end up being the same)
Also a 2 step metal stool & some garden waste to the dump as well.
Some more cds have been added to Amazon for sale.
Blue recycling bin has been put out - getting emptied tomorrow by council
Bit more weeding in front garden done

Hi all, thankful that its friday today! the husband has been doing some overtime this week, i tend to long for 5.30 when he gets home as the kids are hard work so with him going in for 7.30 instead of 9 and some nights finishing later (last night was 8) its sending me loopy and not given me much chance to declutter. Ah well its more money that we can plough towards our debt.

    Anyway. on the decluttering front!

I saved all DD1's clothes for DD2 but im thinking of selling everything 3+ as our main debts all need sorting by Oct 2014 when DD2 will be 2 so thinking i can sell the older stuff with the idea i can re buy or get clothes as gifts for DDs 2nd birthday when we are about 10k better off. So today my goal is to separate the older stuff from the younger and maybe get some listed on FB.

I washed the washable toys i wanted to sell the other day so need to list those.

Thrown away a hoola hoop that was broken, a few toys went in the bin and i sorted some paperwork this week but it was nothing spectacular. Im having to keep hold of anything i think will sell so im not seeing great results yet. 2 birthday presents will be going out to their recipients tomorrow though :)

Hope everyone has a good de cluttering weekend. Sarah x

Last night I finally managed to clean our conservatory windows on the inside and the door frame, loads of dirt removed. Also, hoovered the house. A few more toiletries have been used up and recycled.

    Good luck with your decluttering.

This week I have managed to:
    * Complete 3 forms and post them
    * Used up 1 more birthday card and post it
    * More paper logs made
    * Cleaned 2 wooden crates that will be used to store dried cones in the living room for the log burner, this way the living room will look tidier.

Decided that I am going to wash all the cleaning cloths in the washing machine tomorrow so have just spent 30 minutes dusting the fire place, various sideboards etc. Couldn't believe the amount of dust that I found.

Apart from that, 2 magazines are leaving this home tomorrow to go to MIL, one salt mill has been thrown away and a couple of spring catalogues have gone in the recycling bin.

Wow, I feel really proud how much OH and I have achieved today.
    * Loads of free dry wood have been cut up and stacked in various places to be used up when it gets colder.
    * More paper logs have been made
    * The hedge has been cut and the garden bin is now full ready to emptied by the council on Monday
    * All the cushion covers have been washed
    * All the radioaters have been dusted

Hoping to make a draught excluder from unloved items of clothing later today.
