Today I put chocolate into the food recycling box ... DH bought a huge bar last week and I don't know why, he doesn't have a sweet tooth, he's diabetic, and I am trying not to eat junk. So I binned it quickly :o.

Mostly today I've been putting things back in the right places so the place looks tidier. About to deal with a hotspot though, so shall update later.

    edit:
19 small items either binned, into CS bag or ready to give away: broken santa earring, '50 today' badge, assorted glitter sprinkles, bent drawing pins, leather bookmarkers, earring pouch from 1979 etc

Another edit: got rid of the broken washing machine today thanks to my helpful builders - they dragged it out into the back lane next to their van, then started up their concrete mixer. They reckon a passing scrapman took it in the first 15 minutes :D.

big cardboard box decluttered into recycling today, along with small sapling that had decided to sprout through the front hedge.
metal coat stand in shape of lady is on front for scrap man i had ideas of it being a frame to grow a climber up in the garden but it never worked round the back and i dont think the neighbours will approve of it on the front, especially as i live near a school and till the plant grew it would look naked.

    off to declutter something

Hi all, was a frequent poster til earlier this year then vanished to the debt free Board only but I'm back, if you'll have me :o those who remember me, wee Evelyn is 9 months next week! Hoping to declutter everything into sale or bin piles as needing the money to put towards my debts. I'm also going to focus on trying to find homes for everything. Will be working my way through the house, tonight I will do the bathroom. Tomorrow I will start on the dining room :) as got 3 kids to entertain whilst i declutter/re arrange.

I decluttered most of the junk from my car today :)

felt a bit 'meh' today. Just can't settle down to anything and have no energy. So I plonked my bum in front of the laptop and have started dealing with digital clutter. Digital files now collated to ease organisation. Lots of files deleted. Desktop looks a lot tidier where I've uninstalled software that I never use.

    Last weekend I managed to:
    * Continue to so sort out the cupboard under the stairs, it's amazing how much more you can fit into a cupboard when you put things away properly rather than just dumping things in there.
    * OH sorted out a couple of large plastic containers with his stuff and various bit and pieces thrown away in 2 large plastic sacks.
    * Made 6 paper logs and filled up 2 more containers with water and shredded paper.

This weekend coming I am planning to start sorting out the cupboard on top of the stairs.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j

decluttered a binbag full of rubbish off the drive. DD2 came and took a carful of her stuff away (mostly books and clothes) i have a carworth of extra space in the house now LOL.
filled a box for the CS and a carrier bagful of clothes that DS2 has outgrown. i spent 4 1/2 hours ironing this morning so cleared that space as its now neatly away in peoples wardrobes instead of in a huge pile being annoying!
used up the dregs of 4 different tubes and bottles of various toiletries as well this week.

going to wash up now and do tea

house is starting to feel decluttered, im actually looking round and seeing space and some of the nicer things we have rather than piles of clutter.

Guys, quick question - would you bring old underwear to a charity shop? I have a few bra and pants sets that are barely worn (bought in the middle of losing weight :)) and they seem too good to dump but I'm not sure about the ethics of leaving this sort of thing in. They're clean obviously!! Mostly I use old underwear as dusters, it's just cos it's largely unworn.

Not posted for a while but still working at decluttering!!

    Hi, BelfastGirl;
I've seen baskets of bras in charity shops but never knickers. Even if they are matching sets.

I tend to put any old underwear in those clothing bank bins at the recycling centre.
