sending you a virtual kick up the bum GPS
Wrote a list last night of things I had to do today. I started by eating my frogs. 4 simple jobs off the to do list now done. They never tend to be as bad as we think... why do we put them off?
Confession of a slattern cow time...Found [STRIKE]an old uneaten packed lunch[/STRIKE] science project festering at the bottom of a bag of work I brought home from school a few weeks bag . Never had to disinfect a bag for life before!! My mother would disown me if she knew!
New school year resolution is to make sure I always eat my lunch.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Morning All
Thank you PD, I intend to put my much needed virtual kick up the bum to good use as soon as I've finished my cuppa.
Wishing everyone a productive day of getting through those never ending jobs and de-cluttering projects.

decluttered a few non working felt pens and 7 1/2 used tubs of hair product yesterday-they were a few years old and never going to be used so tubs got emptied and recycled and contents binned.
birthday and wedding anni didnt cause too much house filler as we got treated to a weekend away and while away the children did a ground force style make over on front garden so beautiful presents that create happy memoires and a lovely flower garden to remind me.

Hi everyone, looks like there's still lots going on, even in this warm weather.
In the first few months of this year I did a lot of decluttering, and now I'm just doing a few bits here and there, but I am remaining focused.
This de-cluttering lark is now an ongoing lifestyle. I don't think it's possible to ever draw a line and say it's done. as soon as you stop, then it'll all start building up again
Anyway, here's my update for the last couple of weeks
309 4 LPs –eBay
310 old pens – bin
311 2 old postcards – eBay
312 Mens chinos –eBay
313 Mens suit – eBay
314 75 singles from the 70’s and 80’s – eBay
315 2 shirts – clothing bank
316 socks – clothing bank
317 T shirt – eBay

Hello! I know it's halfway through the year, but do you mind if I join in? I'm a student, currently at home for the summer, and feeling very cramped in my bedroom with what's effectively two rooms' worth of stuff in here!
I'd love to know exactly what I own and where it all is, and I think posting here might keep me accountable...
As a token of my keenness to join in, I've just chucked out a tatty old evening bag that I got free with some make-up once, and which had something explode in it about two years ago (toothpaste, maybe?). I've been carting it around with me, mentally promising to clean it out, but I'm never going to do it, and it's not worth saving. So out it goes!

Evening All
My DS and DD are having an overnight stay and a day out with their Dad tomorrow, I like to keep busy while they are away, so I'm planning to continue my garage de-clutter for at least a few hours tomorrow. Not much fun as dusty and spiders, but I know I'll be glad when it's done.
Finally finished post-holiday laundry pile today, all ironed and put away, even the fiddly items which I'm always tempted to leave in the ironing basket.
Welcome Owl. The evening bag sounds like a suitably ruthless start to your de-cluttering.

Decluttered before work this morning:
2. Two of my mum's books, back to her.
3. A bag of empty toiletry bottles, photographed and binned/recycled (please don't look at me like I'm some kind of weirdo, I'm a beauty blogger and weirdly, people want to see my rubbish!)No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January!UU: 5, IN: 2Total Stash: 99 - ultimate target 33 (year start 99)0 -

interesting, do you blog what you use and give product reviews on it?
ive seen a stash busting blog that someone does, cataloging the wool they use up and posting photos of the items knitted, she encourages others with stash to join in.
ive had 3 big bags of garden rubbish, 1 bag of household, 3 plastic/tin recycling bags and 4 paper/card recycling bags taken away this morning. plus decluttered an empty wine bottle into the glass bank.
disposed of some out of date stuff from the medicine cabinet -chemist takes it back if you say you want safe disposal.
got to take a birthday card round the neighbours later, it will be one decluttered out of my stockpile in the drawer.
wrote 24 postcards out that need posting later - thats a few less in my stockpile.SPC~12 ot 124

Clothing drama today, what a hassle and a time waste. Find new skirt (i hate clothes shopping) - hurrah!, skirt arrives - skirt too small - boo! Seller doesn't have next size up spend following 2 hours on internet trying to find same or similar skirt in bigger size. Find another skirt that's expensive and nearly buy that, find a cheap skirt and nearly buy that. BF 'What are you doing, your clothes are fine. That other skirt is lovely and you hardly wear that.' Decide to save hassle (and cost of returns) to take off the bits of new skirt that I like (detachable straps etc) to revamp old skirt and put remainder of new skirt in carboot box as is new with tags and still very useable.
I felt actual anxiety about not being able to find 'my' skirt that I decided was perfect for me. I am an idiot and now I feel really stupid for wasting so much time. However I can enjoy tomorrow customizing and using up sewing supplies. Sigh. At least it's friday! All that is gold does not glitter
