I enjoy reading too about your decluttering efforts, it motivates me to do mine.

    On Sunday I managed to:
    * Finish off my sewing work, 5 buttons are now firmly attached to the clothes, this took at least 90 minutes - great achievement for me to be able to tick off this task.
    * 1 card written and posted yesterday.
    * Recycled some old take away leaflets.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j

Gosh - doesn't decluttering make an awful lot of mess?

Piles of this, piles of that, black bin bags of t'other! Can't find any more friends to give stuff too anymore as I seem to be shifting tat from my house to theirs. :rotfl:

It's kitchen drawer time in this household. No wonder I can never find a pen, they are all scattered between the six drawers in the kitchen and not in the ones in the computer desk (where they should be). As for safety pins (why do I have these anymore??) and elastic bands - I'm sure they are breeding in the night.

There's more going out than coming in so that's good.

Great to read of what others are doing. Another trip to the tip tomorrow coming up.

I'm helping my friend with her decluttering, by selling some of her things on eBay. We split the proceeds, so we both benefit, but believe me, she has a lot of stuff. However, it is very nice stuff and sells easily.

She gave me a pile of stuff the other week, and I'm trying to ebay it as quickly as possible, as it's cluttering my house at the moment!

Apart from my friends things, I've decluttered the following things of mine in the last couple of weeks

    299 Men’s suit – clothing bank
    300 4 LP’s from the 1980’s – eBay
    301 Palazzo pants – eBay
    302 1940’s pressed glass tray – eBay
    303 old postcard – eBay
    304 Radley handbag – eBay
    305 Cord jeans – eBay
    306 3 jigsaws
    307 1980’s book – eBay
    308 suitcase – eBay
    Early retired - 18th December 2014

I've been decluttering like a monster. I got rid of about three pieces of furniture and about 30 bags of stuff to a local charity shop.:T

I think my house looks better with less stuff around although having the house more bare is making me notice that it desperately needs redecorating!:p

:T Well done for all the decluttering you are doing.

I am on holiday at the moment but today I have deleted over 100 old emails from 2008 to 2013. Great feeling to declutter the inbox. I have also sent off 3 emails to friends that I haven't contacted for ages.

While on holiday I have also used up 1 eye cream.

Going home later this week to continue my decluttering at home.

decluttered 4 big bags of weeds of mum in laws front this morning, house was started to look abandoned. looks lived in now.

taken a stack of magazines to the hairdressers, a load of batteries to the recycling bin.

finished a face pack off and am just about to use up the last of a jar of body scrub in the shower so the empty pot can go in recycling.

got a CS box started hop to have that filled by the end of the week.

decluttered DD3s pictures wed had framed for her round to hers

got a pile of papers out of our room im going to go through after my shower they are either shredding or in recycling so either way they are gone.
