charlies_mum, my deepest condolences to you. it takes time to come to terms with the loss of a loved one. Dont rush yourself, the stages of grief all need to be met and coped with, its something everyone deals with in a different way.SPC~12 ot 124

Had a furniture move round which ended up with an old single bed being sold on Gumtree for £30.
Then moved a little sofa upstairs from dining room, and a side table from living to dining room so making more space in the living room!
Also sold a lawn seed spreader (goodness knows why OH thought it was something we needed to buy!) for £10 which is what we paid.
I'm really liking Gumtree at the moment.
Then a couple more ebay sales, I've also discovered 'quality clothes' selling groups on facebook and sold a skirt last night very soon after listing.
Continuing with the general sorting, recycling, throwing out too.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Making slow but steady progress on the decluttering. This week including last weekend I decluttered:
- Bag of assorted summer shoes and sandals into charity recycling bag
- 20 items of clothing listed on EB of which 6 sold and have been mailed - the others will be relisted next free listing weekend
- Assorted gardening clutter e.g. damaged pots, old hanging baskets taken to recycling centre
- Bag of children's clothes, toys and games taken to charity shop
- Collection of mugs and glasses we no longer use taken to work - they are always getting broken or chipped so well received
- Selection of cross stitch kits and charts that I will never stitch sorted out and some listed on EB (2 have sold so far)
Looking at the calendar this is the last weekend until the end of July when I have no social activities so much do as much as I can.

I am back again after our holiday.
:T Well done to all for your achievements.
Today I have managed to:
* Use up a bottle of conditioner to use as cleaning the kitchen zink with.
* Recycled loads of plastic bags
* During the holiday I managed to finish reading 4 x magazines and 2 x crosswords magazines
* Read my personal emails and have either deleted them or responded to them
* Got rid of dust while hoovering
Tomorrow I will use up a jar of pasta bake for lunch and do some more decluttering. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

Haven't posted for a while on this thread. But been getting rid of a few things:
Some garden/flower pots to dump/tip
Greenhouse/shed has had a mini clear out/tidy up. Few thing got rid off
Few sales on Amazon - cds/books/dvds
Some bags of clothes/books/cds to charity shop
Paper shredding has been more or less kept upto date.
Box of glass to recycling
A carpet washer & a tv I'm planning to either sell via FB or give to charity.
I will have to go into loft to see what there is. Sure there's cardboard boxes that I don't need for items I don't have anymore.0 -
Yesterday I finally sorted out the weed in the front garden and also cut the hedge. The garden bin is now full ready for collection tomorrow.
The plan today is to fill in a form so that it can be posted tomorrow, clean the bathroom and do the ironing. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

Did a bit of sorting yesterday afternoon and decided to investigate a local dress agency which I have passed 100s of times. They took the 6 items id selected so have 3 months to see if they sell and meanwhile they aren't cluttering my spare room
. If it works I've got a few other quality items for autumn/winter I could take there later
Has anyone ever used a dress agency and if so with what results?
Love reading all your achievements. It's really inspiring :T0
