    Found I'd shoved over 100 carrier bags down the side of the fridge.... Since moving in in September... And I re-use from this stash as bin bags for my bedroom and bathroom... *shock*

    I've bagged 10-20 to keep as bin bags and batched up the rest into a much bigger bag which will be charity shopped tomorrow.

    I am pleased to say that I have nearly finished garage de-clutter. Lots of carp thrown away/recycled, the good stuff on a neat pile for charity or car boot, depending on finances at end of this month :o. I have three bikes in there that kids have grown out of that can go.

    All been swept out, it looks fab. I must admit to having wandered out there a couple of times to admire my efforts :rotfl:. And I can get in the door without breaking my neck!

    Just a couple of small containers with bits and pieces in to go through. I can sit in there when I have an hour and do that (whilst admiring how tidy the rest of the garage is :)).

    I have also had an hour in the front garden, decluttering the dead flowers off my roses and general tidying. There are so many bees on my lavenders, busy as bees they are.

    Hope everyone is having a good day.

    I'm still beavering away in the study. I'm being quite ruthless and am starting to see results.

    Convinced myself that we don't need 5 cheque/paying in books between us when none of them have been used in years. Have saved one cheque book just in case. Doubt it will survive the next purge, but at least it is neatly filed now instead of being unceremoniously and untidily dumped on top of the filing cabinet.

    Watching random things on iPlayer in the background whilst I work. Have thoroughly enjoyed the catharsis and it is lovely to see a room emerge from the former chaos!

    There will still be big 'round tuits' to attend to at some point (sorting through old photos, backing up my laptop, purging digital clutter (bookmarks, old emails etc) but the physical space is looking a lot better.

    I'm thinking about decluttering our dining table as we never use it at all and it's in pretty good condition.

    I really need to get decluttering! The whole house is bursting at the seams and I could do with raising some pennies :D

    decluttered a hosepipe, a lawn sprinker and a rake to someone whos lawn needed them.
    clean out behind shed, old whirly gig is on front for scrap man, old rubbish and plastic garden toys are earmarked for bin, as is old not working water feature, wet rotten skanky wood in tip bag, mouldy body board binned. just need to cut back brambles and ivythen they can be decluttered into garden waste bag

    someones been from freecycle to collect carrier full of old jiffy bags

    used up a body wash and a face cream last night so packaging has gone in the recycling.

    I'm down to one pile of carp to sort through in the study. Other than that, the floor and desk are clear. In a funny way, my mind feels less cluttered when I sit in there to work. Oh to be able to keep it like this during term time!

    Jobs left to do
    * declutter the technology drawer
    * work through 'things to action' box
    * back up laptop
    * put pictures up on wall
    * cut trim for blinds to size and mount
    * find frame for awkward sized picture
    * deep clean

    None of these are particularly time sensitive, although in an ideal world I'd like to have accomplished them by September. Being realistic, I'd settle for keeping it clean and tidy :D

    Once I've made a dent in the pile of carp I'll feel ready to tackle my next room. Contemplating the bathroom as it is small and easy to complete.

    between shed and garage is now tidy, with only a couple of useful items stored there.
    decluttered 2 bags of weeds and overgrown plants from bed at bottom of garden yesterday.

    already been out in front garden this morning, it was done for me last week but DD wasnt sure what the little yellow flowers were so left them all - weeds LOL ive gathered all of them cut back and overgrown shrub, trimmed the pavement end of the hedge that was still straggly but hidden but shrub that DDs partner cut back.

    got a big cardboard box that can go in recycling its been hanging around a couple of months and friend of DS1 who bought the toy but left packaging here has never asked for it back.

    Sneaks in quietly as I've been missing for a while:
    30 items to Zapper yesterday via courier (cheque for £19 odd on it's way :T)
    18 items to CS as I speak, in DH's fair hands
    3 books and a magazine recycled
    1 blouse to fabric recycling bag

    53 total :)

    Edit to add:
    - emptied two files of papers into recycling and binned the tatty files.
    - a floppy disc into the bin (the last in captivity, I think)
    - another handful of old trade magazines into recycling
    57 now
    I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

    Greenhouse sold to a neighbour. (As I only used it as a dumping ground).

    Ours is like that, lol! OH used to get old vacuum cleaners from the dump, do them up and sell them at car boot sales, made a fair bit of money with them until he stopped being able to get any from the dump, but he always kept the spare parts in the greenhouse and there are still loads of bits in there. When my dad's brothers came down a few years ago for my mum's funeral, they were surprised to see all the vacuum cleaners and parts in the greenhouse, and one of them asked what kind of fertilizer we used to grow them, lol! A few days ago OH said he was planning to clear everything out and get rid of the greenhouse on freecycle, then he plans to get an aluminum storage shed to put in its place, to store all DS's stuff until he gets around to sorting it, so we can finally get the spare room cleared and decorated.

    I've not posted on here for ages, but I'm still decluttering and have got rid of a lot. DS came to stay for the weekend as it was his birthday yesterday, and I gave him some cushions that we had given to us with the lounge suite that we got off ebay recently. I was going to use them but OH wasn't keen on them, so was going to send them to CS if DS didn't want them.

    Last week I sold a ps1 and controller on ebay, so that has gone, and I've had 2 sales over the weekend which I will probably post on Wednesday. Also OH took a large box of stuff to CS today. I'm not working until late tomorrow, so will try to get the lounge and kitchen tidied in the morning, as they both look like a bomb has hit them, lol!
