Thank you for the congratulations :D

Another successful couple of days decluttering. We cleared out two bin bags full of boxes and stuff. Bag full of clothes to the charity shop and three more books returned to their owners.

Still loads to do but one step at a time!

After a long break back to the decluttering. All 3 children back at uni so their (and a friend's!) stuff stored here over the summer now gone. Tidy up of front garden started, ditto declutter of ds's room. Decimated wardrobe over summer so 2 new things have gone in from CS. 2 books back to friend yesterday and another 2 in bag to go back to other friends. Tis nice to join you all again.

  • Leaflets and newspapers that had been lingering on a chair in my kitchen have now been sorted out and flung in the recycling, my home magazines have a new tidier home in my craft cupboard! Carrying on this evening when i get back in from work with the other shelves in the craft cupboard that i haven't touched yet, a good few glass jars in there that have been stood empty for well over a year can be flung and will make some more de-cluttered space.

P.S My desk at work has never looked so tidy, I've even had my boss and colleagues asking if i'm okay as its soo tidy!!

    Today:
    - 4 packets binned and a bottle emptied and recycled
    - 3 dvds and 5 books to charity
    - 5 jewellery sets as raffle prizes

Edit to add: DH donated 4 bottles to the raffle (we're almost TT so there's more room in the cupboard now).

I'm on a mission to simplify my life and I've started on the decluttering. So far I've bagged up a set of Inspector Morse novels, a pile of toys, unwanted kitchen utensils, lots more books and taken them to the animal rescue charity shop. I've taken down 2 shelves and put pictures in their place - not only does this reduce the clutter but it means less dusting as well:j

edit: also some toys posted on Fr!day Ad. Hoping to get a few £'s for those. Just scanned some old course notes for saving on G0ogle Drive....notes now in the recycling. Got rid of a large cookbook after photocopying a couple of the recipes that I want to keep. I love decluttering it's sooooo therapeutic.
  • Been poorly but finally got started on my de cluttering. I sorted all my craft stuff and it has been picked up today by a freecycler. Recycled all my leaflets and newspapers. Going to start on the kitchen on Friday as I am out all day tomorrow. Felt good so hope to keep going if health permits me. Slow start but at least I have started.

Am moving so much of my 'stuff' out of the kitchen... some to friends (who may become less friendly if I continue this!), some to the CS and some to the dump!

    Feels good.

    Onward and outward!
