  • Cleared out the DVD cupboard. Several DVDs (and some Videos!) to the charity shop, plus some books. Looks better already!.
  • More scanning of work notes done today, so more paper to be recycled. More books and some old videos in the charity bag. I have lots of candles but I intend to use these over the autumn/winter as free lights and a little bit of heat.

Lots of great posts on here this week, like the idea of scanning things in and putting the scans in google drive.

I seem to be cluttering rather than decluttering, collected 2 orders of things for my Guides yesterday, thankfully that can all go to the hall tonight, as can the stuff in my hallway for Brownies/Guides. I then need to sort the Guiding pile on our small landing, everything that was in the house that was Guiding related got dumped there a few weeks ago and we keep carefully walking round it. Some stuff needs to be thrown, some to the hall and some needs some decent storage. Luckily OH isn't home until gone 1am from a work trip tonight so that gives me a good 3 1/2 hours to sort between getting in from Guides and him getting home. That's my mission to sort all of this in that time.

  • put a reasonably sized collection of metal tat and scrap from the garage on the drive this morning and its been taken. only had one black bag of household rubbish so all the non recyclable stuff i cleared out of the garage got put into 2 black bags and has been taken. all plastic, tins etc got recycled.
so garage neater and a little clearer.
started another little knitted jacket to give away so a bit more woll from the stash pile will hopefully go next week.

well done to everyone whos managing to declutter so well.

Recycling men came today, so big pile of paper, and plastic stuff gone. CS came and collected 2 bags.
Still plenty more to declutter. Might start on my clothes next. I have too many T shirts!

Oh and I've got a mountain of Tupperware type boxes....I must tackle this!

This week I have been sorting through my handbag and other bag that I bring with me to work. Several leaflets from the bags have been recycled. I have been sorting through the bags on the bus due to road work this week the bus journens have taken much longer.

I have also sorted out my receipts in my purse.

Finally sorted out the cupboard on top of the stairs didn't get rid off anything I have just put things away in a better way so I have now created half a shelf that is currently empty.

I spent an hour in the garden tidying up so the garden bin is now half full.

:T Well done to all for all your decluttering efforts this week, it inspires me to continue to declutter.

  • Having a complete toddler hissyfit at myself! I have too much stuff and it is driving me insane! Just got to actually do something about it ... procrastination is a problem of mine. A big one!

Going to think about my sponsor children and how much I have compared to them to get myself motivated and then send some stuff off to the charity shop! x
  • More toys got down from the loft and listed on selling pages (2 clocks, play food and till, baby walker with bricks). If they don't sell soon, I'll drop the price and if they are not gone a month after that they will go to the CS.

Got rid of some Tupperware type boxes that were either missing lids, damaged or surplus to requirements. Tidied tea towel drawer and added 2 aprons and baby table mats to the CS pile. Threw away some old tea towels.

Sorted letter rack - some stuff into paper recycling.

2 bags of coppers to the bank:money:

I have sorted out the bakeware drawer today. Later on today I will fill in 2 forms and then post them tomorrow.
