Clean laundry (finally) put away. Found bags of it in the back bedroom where we shoved it the last time we were expecting guests, as well as a 3-foot pile in the diningroom used as a catbed. Have several random socks - think I've been hanging onto them for years trying to find their partners. If they're not found when I clear the rest of the washing today, they're getting binned."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

I had a little new year declutter today - I found some old t-shirts that no longer fit my son, languishing in the cupboard in his room. They're in the charity bag now, along with a book on Feng Shui which was far too complicated for me to understand
I have in the past contributed on the decluttering threads - I do love me a bit of declutteringEnjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

DH has just decluttered the ironing pile, I am catching up with the washing. We are slowly working our way through boxes of chocolates and biscuits bought for Christmas. The empty tins and boxes are being put straight into the recycling boxes, I will not keep tins "just in case they come in useful for something"
Have also got rid of a broken tray. A quiet, but good start to the new year.
Wishing everyone lots of luck with their efforts over the coming year.

Ssshhh...but DH is decluttering. Seriously. I started him off gently with a pile of DVDs to keep or chuck and he just kind of took off himself. One box of books to the second hand shop and one to the attic (maybe two by the time he's finished!!) Baby steps
I think it was helped by the fact that our most cluttered room was starting to look vaguely normal and he had some heart in doing something more.
I also had another go through the other dumping room upstairs (not normally so bad but over the hols some stuff ended up in it) and have it almost back to normal
Well done everyone!0 -
Underwear drawer de-cluttered and I have got rid of 14 pairs of socks, 3 odd socks that I have been hoping to pair up for about 3 months, 12 pairs of pants and 1 incredibly uncomfortable bra. I have also recycled last years calendar so that takes me to 31 things de-cluttered today.:TMake £10 per day in July £45.48/£310

AH! I think it must be contagious Belfastgirl, Hubby took to emptying out a plastic storage box with random wires and cables after taking down the tree. Box now empty and good for other things. Old ruck sack ready for tip.
Christmas cards/ 2 months of birthday cards ready for recycling.
Super happy with that, but more clothes pulled out of the 'untouched over christmas' laundry.
Toys are stored in the loft along with clothing that will fit DD2 in a year or four. (not sure about this one, may end up on ebay/bootsale)
The wardrobe still waits though.0 -
I cleared out the long overdue paperwork pile. Horrendous, but all my fault! Almost half a sack of paper for recycling and some shredded for the compost. A lovely empty filing basket smiling on the corner of the desk...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Another ten just hit the dust:
5 toiletries
1 mat
1 box
1 coat
1 scarf
1 teddy
That's 80 for today, will stop now. Think I need to target specific areas perhaps rather than just wandering round grabbing things? Not sure which is easier, if I did an area then it would be 'finished' but that might be more overwhelming.0
