We had a great declutter today, nearly all of it was the easy stuff which didnt require sorting unlike a lot of it but in under an hour we had a car full of stuff on its way to the tip and some bits for the charity shop

ive pulled a mountain of magazines and paperwork out from under the computer table and am going through it.
ive already filled one paper recycling bag - its going to be a looong morning making this lot tidy again but i think it will look much better and be easier to find what i want in its hopefully more condensed version

Mini achievements done so far this week:

    * Shredded paperwork and news papers and emptied the shredder. The content will soak in water for a week or so and then I will make some paper logs from it.
    * 2 magazines read and recycled.
    * Personal emails read and either responded to or deleted.

Over the weekend an oven cleaning company is coming to clean our oven which we currently don't like using since the oven is smelling. It's a treat that we decided was worth paying for. Cannot wait to have a clean oven again. Hopefully we will also continue to sort out over utility room.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j

    achieved a lot yesterday
the canopy and plastic signs went to school for outdoor play area
4 brown bags of paper went out for recycling
shredded lots of old bills and put some stuff away in its proper places so i know where to find it when its needed
went through my folders and files of knitting patterns realistically there was a third i will never knit as they looked so dated, the proper patterns are in a pile for the CS the ripped out pages from magazines went in the recycling.
also finished a pot of overnight cream last night so that washed out and in recycling as well

theres about half of what there was now back under the desk in neat files that are stored in one big wicker basket

  • Couple days ago, 1 drawer of tops got sorted out & ended up with 11 tops going into the CS pile.

Large (for me anyway) CS pile was taken to shop yesterday, which they were happy with.

    Couple dvds added to amazon.

Just a quick hello and well done to all you declutter bugs!
I had my first gumtree sale - rocking stand and moses basket sold and collected within a couple of days :j!
I have also filled another bag for the charity shop this week with bits and bobs, amazing how quickly they all mount up.
Have three more items listed on gumtree, hoping they sell soon.
