Theres a pile of Ebay stuff sitting on my kitchen unit packed and ready to post tomorrow.

Trouble is, i'll never carry it all in one go.

At least thats another load of unwanted stuff out of the house!

Still at it here...... I can't believe how many toiletries I've stashed away in my wardrobe. It'll take us 10 years to get through them all..... Now being ruthless with clothes, even the ones I like but may fit one day (I'll splash out if I'm that size). So, two big sacks for charity so far this evening, plus some other possible bits (dithering over some crystal windchimes, a nice wooden box for CDs - unused and some glitter nail varnish).

Shame I have to be up at 6 to finish stripping the bedroom as I could do with a long sleep!

Decided to go through the bedding again - only 2 singles now and only used for visitors so I was ruthless. Folded the duvet covers neatly (oww, my arms) and sorted through the pillowslips. 18 items to recycle and a drawer cleared.

Two more garments into the recycling bag - they've sat on the chair since before Christmas :o

Sorted through the everyday cutlery and got rid of the 'never used' bits that have gone peculiar. 8 items.

Another bit of bricabrac for the CS box.

    Did some more mending.

Took down the cases of summer clothes: oh dear.

DH decided to get rid of 13 items - he says he has too many clothes already, and, what he's giving up mostly came from a seconds outlet that closed several years back.

Another 6 items put by in case DS can use them.

Of mine, well 1 Tshirt looked dead, & 2 scarves didn't suit so another 3 out. hope i'm brave enough to go through the rest soon.

Wardrobes all look lovely and tidy, also everything fits !

3 sacks ready for the recycling place :)

Anyone seen hubbys woollen boot sock? I found one in his bag last weekend, found one under the bed with his stash of work clothes which made a pair.

Great except ive lost the one out of his bag now and i'm back to one sock.

Made a start on my bedroom (the only room not attempted yet) and have thrown away a load of boxes (not sure why I kept them in the first place). Am just about to tackle the main wardrobe - its full to bursting :o

Will also do my gym bag later - for some reason I seem to cart a load of stuff round with me and only use about 3 things in it.

Wish me luck.....not looking forward to this wardrobe.
  • Well.. Water butt has gone & sleepers being collected later today :)

I have spent a few hours packing up some of my husbands things, wrapping & boxing them up, labeling each one so he know's what's in them & if they are breakable. My friend said I should just chuck it all in black bags & give it to him?! :(
That's not really my style, wouldn't like someone to do that to my things & I love him regardless of our relationship status...

So, the house looks very empty, most of the pictures/ornaments in one area were his... I have also found 6 other itmes for the car boot box as I've been packing so it's a double declutter...

Was hoping to get some time out in the garden to clear out shed (a lot of his things in here too!) Not sure if the weather is going to play ball on that though!!:rotfl:

    Have a great weekend x

Why oh why does decluttering cause soooo much more mess .

I have started in my bedroom as I find I cannot even contemplate cleaning house with so much stuff still, after nearly a year of trying to get rid of clutter.

The ironing basket seemed like a good place to start so decluttered half of that into charity bag :D and have a bag of books to go as well. Halloween decorations are now in the shed :o Pair of shoes that I wore down to post office that gave me blisters  also now in charity bag.

But my days the mess left in the wake is truly terrifying.
