  • Hi guys.. things been difficult here of late yet things are settling and I've got the decluttering bug back!:T

Really purged garden yesterday & have listed composter, water butt, sleepers etc online for sale oh & an old bike & back door too.. the stuff's gotta go..

May just attack the shed at some point if the sun stays out.. that or the cupboard under the stairs, it attacked me this morning while looking for a bucket!!:rotfl:

    Have a great day x

  • Think I may join you all.

We have just recently moved home (8wks ago) the house was in such a poor state it had to be scrubbed from top to bottom and total redecoration, which we have started living room, kitchen & hall stairs and landing have been done... Just the dining room, 3 bedrooms & bathroom to go.

Anyhow due to the total chaos of it all I've not unpacked many boxes & I was thinking over this last few days that maybe I don't need so much stuff!! ... To be honest I've not missed anything that has been packed away so starting from today I'm gonna sort through boxes & get rid of anything I don't need.

There will be a for sale pile ( money will come in soooo handy at the mo cos we really are skint) a pile for the village jumble sale, a tip pile & recycling pile.

In our last house I got really bad at one point with hoarding things so I really do need to start as I mean to go on in this house! .... X

My crash decluttering continues (as I'm just a day ahead of my decorators). The lounge looks wonderful now - bright, neat and big. And the books, DVDs and CDs actually fit on the shelves for once.

Today the biggy - my bedroom. This is a small room with a kingsize bed, dressing table, cabinets and wardrobe. In other words not much floor space and I'm ashamed to say the little there is has clutter. So, the task is, move furniture and vacuum (partially done), deweb whole room, declutter stuff on surfaces and floor, then pack it up, and finally, sort clothes in drawers and wardrobe so that the built in wardrobe can be painted inside too.

The good bit is that I've been finding missing earrings, books I'd forgotten, etc. which is a huge bonus.

Good luck everyone else - It's worth it in the end (or so I'm hoping!)
