One load of washing from washing basket washed, hanged outside & virtually dried. Second load already on.
Hoovering & dusting done.

Paper shredding been done
Paperwork that I have been meaning to file away for past week - now done.
Went through the dvds I've got (again) to see which ones I really don't want. Another 3 taken out. (Not sure if they are going to CS or list them on Amazon yet)
Kitchen bin emptied0 -
2 boxes of dvds packed ready for the move. Also a small box of blurays packed. Only another 2-3 boxes of dvds to pack.
Pile of envelopes that were on the dvd shelves now put with the rest of the unused stationary.
Rubbish and recycling taken downstairs to the bins.
Dishes washed and 1 load of washing done.
Must try to source some more boxes for the packing otherwise everything will be in carrier bags.
Time for a bath now as I have a 30th birthday party to go to tonight.Starting mortgage balance 22/04/2013 £71,250

I've not been on here for a while, was in hospital for a couple of weeks and on the last day was itching to come home and declutter! I've finally tackled my bedside cupboard (stuff and a table blocking it). It's something I've wanted to tackle for ages but today was finally the day. My parents have made a start on the loft but a big % of it is mine, we are always scared it might come through due to the weight (maybe I should join the hoarder thread!). I hope everyone's decluttering is going well
Ps)decluttered a really nice Christmas candle holder, do you think the charity shop could sell it or will they bin as its not Christmas time?Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

I've been working on the photographs as well, and it's slow going. I've gone through and sorted into date order all the photos from my parents and the photos we have taken as a couple over the last 30 years. They are all back in the loft in their new storage boxes.
Everything we are keeping has gone into new boxes, so I can easily see what still needs to be done i.e. old dusty cardboard boxes!
I've managed to throw away a few black and white blurry views. There's a few old photos of people from my parents youth know I don't know - I've put them on eBay as a lot.
But most have gone back in the loft. But at least they are neat now.Why oh why does decluttering cause soooo much more mess
That is so true.
I've now got photos from my in laws to be sorted, the new boxes that they'll be stored in, a load of photographic slides to be scanned on to the computer, various boxes of slide projectors and assossories to get ebayed, lots of other things to eBay AND things from my friend to to eBay to help her de-cluttering. All this stuff is generally hanging around!
The end result will be good, but I think it gets worse before it gets better!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Only thing for me was going to the local dump to clear the box of glass into the recycling bins - which gets done every 2-3 months. And 1 towel stand, that went into the charity bit for furniture/household goods that can be reused.0

I feel pleased with what I have achieved today:
* Cleaned the kitchen cupboard doors
* Hoovered
* Half filled the garden bin after tidying up the weed by the bins. Garden bin will be emptied tomorrow
* Posted one letter
* Last Sunday I filled up the recycling bin with old cardboard boxes x 10 that made a big difference in the utility room.
Good luck to those who are sorting out their photos, I did this a few months ago and it took me 4 months to sort out.No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

Baby steps for me (again) today. I've sold 3 things on ebay, whoopi doo! 2 have paid so they'll get posted tomorrow.
Spent a long time in the room of doom aka DD's bedroom. Managed to clear out another tree worth of paper for recycling and loads of crud for the bin. I cannot believe how many times I've cleaned her room yet you wouldn't be able to tell. :eek:
I repotted my money plants which used up some soil I found in a bag and some larger pots. Fingers crossed they grow ok and give me money.Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £81,810.42 May 2037Swagbucks ~ £155 (2024 ~ £395)Surveys ~ £167.59 (2024 ~ £280.14)Make £2025 in 2025 #5 ~ £1,406.55 ~ (2024 ~ £2,561.04)0
