Happy Mothers day every one
Ladies, put a smile on your face and ware something nice....
I have the purple dress on that was new for Christmas day.Teamed it with a pair of leggings to keep warm.
Today's plans = no I am not going any where.
I will be doing a bit of hand washing as I am waiting for my new washing machine to be delivered on Tuesday.
I am going to make some rice krispie cakes. Decluttering the coco pops cereal that no one wants to eat.
Decluttering the freezer = today I am having a pasta dish and Oh an Indian dish. Both prepacked trays, just put in the oven. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Happy Mothers Day everyone
I had nice cards from DS and DD and a few bits of the kind that children buy you, but best of all a hug and a kiss from each.
As usual, I've had one of those weeks where I've been on the go from dawn until dusk and beyond, but house looks less tidy at the end of it all. Never mind.
My spring clean of the kitchen is still on the go, very little and not very often is how I would describe that declutter/clean project. The dust on top of the kitchen cupboards is . I may never get my cleaning cloths clean after that one.
I did DS and DD breakfast and am now back in bed on the laptop with a cuppa (as it is Sunday and Mothers Day), but once I've posted this I'm going to get on and do something by trying to concentrate on one task at at time and not get overwhelmed by how much needs doing! Going to write stuff down as I've done it today so will be able to see what I've achieved at the end of the day.
On the upside, my washing machine and ironing basket are empty :T.
Love to all x

Wow the decluttering is going well - well done to you all even f it is the odd piece it all adds up.
Well, yesterday we got down from the loft a three part furniture set which belonged to my late mum and is shortly to go on fleabay. Not sure how much I will get for it, but the BHF could not take due to it being padded and before the date when the fire regs came in for upholstered furniture. They advised me to do this so lets see what happens.
Threw out a couple of old kitchen utensils today and thats about it. The big declutter has slowed somewhat but have made significant headway. Bins will be emptied next week so that should make a good start on getting the rest of the rubbishio down.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Happy Mother's day to all the mummies on here.
I've done very little today. Breakfast in bed and just about managed to get showered before my mum and sister got here for lunch!
DH has done a great job of letting me do nothing. He got up with the kids, got me breakfast and made roast lunch for us all. Mum and sister have now left.
I have managed to wash and dry some bedding so will get that back on the beds in a bit. Need to get some ironing done and some paperwork for a voluntary committee that i'm on (I've avoided this for as long as I possibly can).
Declutterwise ebay item was collected today - a large mirror. I have quite a lot more that needs listing on there and sold prior to us moving out in the summer. I need to sit and write a plan for the week so I schedule in some ebaying otherwise it's unlikely that I'll get any done.0 -
I've had quite a big decluttering week - Ive dealt with some of the boxes in the loft.
Mounds of paperwork have been shredded, lots of things have been prepared for eBay, will list them over the next few weeks, and a few things binned. The things I'm keeping are back in the loft in neat plastic boxes, so I can see what has been done, and what is still to do.
This coming week, I was intending to have a quiet week on the decluttering front. All I had planned was to sort and get into order some of the photo's I had inherited from my parents.
However, I've got a large built in cupboard, which houses handbags ( not that many, honest,) books and CD's and things that are waiting to be sold on eBay. But it's all got very chaotic in there, so I'm going to sort it all out. I'll also take the opportunity to give some of the eBay things that have not sold, in spite of being relisted forever, to the CS.
I love the randomness of eBay. This weekend I've sold a book that I've listed on and off for three years at a very good price. But the things that will go to the charity shop this week are things that don't seem to sell at any price- maybe someone will see them on the CS shelf and like them
I had 5 cereal bowls I wasn't using. A few weeks ago I sold three of them as a lot, and this week I've sold the other two as a lot. The two bowls got three times the price of the three bowls!
Here's my summary for things out of the door this week

Happy Early Hours to anyone still up
Was on a declutter mission this evening so later in bed as still had all my "be ready for Monday morning" jobs to do after. Ready for bed, sleep in a minute as up at 7am.
I emptied my corner cabinet in lounge tonight, moved it out and cleaned behind (yuck!), took out all my glasses and china from top part and washed it all, cleaned shelves and glass door and put it all back, super tidy and sparkles. Cupboard underneath emptied and cleaned, decluttered a carrier bag worth of stuff for bin or cs from there. Still got small pile of stuff to sort through from it, but nearly done. Cleaned rest of lounge too today, proper clean, cushions off sofa and hoovered, washed covers for scatter cushions, etc. Sofas and carpet could do with wash once weather bit warmer, curtains too, so on my list
Took DS to his footy match this afternoon, it was SO cold, even with a hot water bottle inside my coat!
Happy week, love to all x

To do list = ironing. Tidy round and dance with Dyson.
Fire grate to clean out.
Yucky job - just had to tell myself " get on with it, quicker it is done the better". Cleaning were the washing machine was and tumble dryer out of way. So brushed and swept. Bowl of hot water and Star drops. Micro fibre cloth and Cillit bang in hand.
Washed down walls and pipes of years of grime

Morning all
I haven't posted for a few weeks now
Had an active last weekend as didn't see my boyfriend so used the entire weekend at home wisely. So:
2 CS bags filled and carted off to CS immediately on the bus.
Summer clothes from loft sorted through and about a quarter in CS bags.
Carpets cleaned.
Top sold on ebay and posted.
Half of Bobbi Brown Beach body oil brought in for girl at work. Although it smelled lovely my skin is just too dry and it disappears! Plus it is scented which is not great for my eczema
Weekend just gone:
2 bags listed on ebay and general household cleaning
I am getting through my pile of books to read and give away at a great rate. Such a novelty to be reading my own books and not those from the library and it is sooo good seeing the pile go down.0
