Good morning all :hello: - looks as though the weather is warming up again - albeit every-so-slightly ..............:j.

:T to all you e-bayers - I've never quite got my head around the whole thing, although my DS2 does it regularly. I'll have to try to get him to do some selling on my behalf ..................

And well done on the decluttering/organising front - there's so much going on with you all AND you've got young families and work to contend with at the same time. You certainly put me to shame - can you all give me a good old boot up the jacksie, p-l-e-a-s-e!!!

A lovely lady has collected my Freecycled 'folders/files etc' so that's 'another couple of boxes of stuff' shifted :).

My unwanted single bed is finally going to my DD tomorrow - so the entrance porch will be much clearer. Base/mattress/head-board DO take up a bit of space in an area of 4ft x 7ft - especially when there's a meter cupboard, chest freezer and plastic drawers in there as well :rotfl:!!

Managed to pick up all the 'hacked off' branches that I did last week PLUS managed to get rid of the majority of 'some spikey bush' that looked half-dead - all now in the Garden Waste Bin for next week :j. I forgot that I'd also bought a 'pruning saw' last week, so will continue to work on the remainder of the 'spikey bush' till it's all gone.

I 'have a plan/idea' to create some kind of 'paved storage area' for the various wheelie bins, to get them off the footpath - we're almost walking on the damp, muddy grass to get past them :(.

Off for a spot of [STRIKE]child-squashing[/STRIKE] baby-sitting this afternoon - as DD is at College.

I'll pop back in again later to catch up with all your efforts - Lilyplonk xx

Kicked! get started! and post what you have achieved please.
The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)
  • Afternoon All

Did weekly shop this morning, rewarded myself with nice bacon sandwich and cuppa for brunch when I got home :).

Mucked out Guineas, they don't half produce a lot of poop for little creatures.

Booked car in for MOT and service in a couple of weeks, preparing myself for that expense .

Was going to have quick tidy/declutter/dust and hoover of my bedroom, might have to sort my hair instead before school run, mega frizz from drizzle here today. Would wear hat, but dentist after school, would definitely look bit odd in dentist's chair with woolly hat on :rotfl:.

Hope to get some decluttering done before bedtime tonight, fingers crossed x

    Keep Smiling :)

OOh OOh - waves frantically - Forgot to say DS & partner came round on Saturday & decluttered a small bookcase, light fitting & chrome towel rail from our loft :)
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Logging in from DD's PC :).

Ouch! many thanks for that, good advice!!!

Think maybe I should do a daily list of what I plan to do - then cross off all the things that I achieve .......... might keep me on target a bit better - thanks for that as well.

    speak later - Lilyplonk xx

I've had to buy a few essentials (handbag, clothes and new luggage) so there's more coming into my home than decluttering.

I will try harder, starting tomorrow. I have sorted lots of paperwork, burned and shredded loads of receipts

Keep up the good work :T

Having a few days of consolidating before the next push next weekend. My successes are:
    1) Had 14 people for a committee meeting last night. Took me 30 mins to clean and tidy whole of downstairs and stairs, boot up my puter, take family coats upstairs to put on guest bed so people could hang up their coats, and move chairs :D
    2) during meeting someone asked about 2009 meeting. I'm secretary, and due to tidy puter files was able to find relevant part in seconds
    3) my inbox at work was empty at going home time
    4) all my regular jobs were done and i know exactly what still needs doing
    5) i can find my shoes, watch and rings in the morning
    6) i always have my thinsulate gloves and hat in my bag so could put them on when it was cold for going home tonight
    7) i never forget my meds cos they are now in one of those 7day pill things and i leave up the last one taken so i know where i'm at
    8) my bed is always made before i leave the house
    9) my work files are all organised sensibly
    10) i always know where the scissors and tape are.
    11) my kitchen drawers are all tidy, ditto desk, ditto front room cabinet
    12) my airing cupboard is all sorted, with double sheets and duvet covers on one shelf, singles on another so i no longer have to find the right size
    13) my bathroom is almost up to hotel standard :D (sealant needs redoing) with matching towels and accessories
    14) my dvds are all in alphabetical order and in the right boxes
    15) i no longer have videos clogging up the cabinet
    16) i no longer have out-of-date food
    17) my diary is my best friend
    18) my car is decluttered
    19) i only have clean clothes i wear in my bedroom drawers
    20) my guest room is fit for guests :D
