This morning I dropped off some empty toner cartridges at a local second hand book shop - the cartridges are sold and the proceeds go towards a local church.

While I was in there I overhead the assistants saying that they've had loads of stock in recently, it seems as if everyone is decluttering!

Seems like we are not the only ones busy with the decluttering !

Re-vamped my underwear drawer this afternoon, bought new underwear with M&S vouchers and cleared out all the old bras and knickers to the bin.

Tomorrow afternoon, I will look at sorting the garage out and seeing the light in there.

DH has a kindle but he still loves books, two new books this week! Trouble is our local CS often have a sign up saying no books needed at the mo and I can't just send them to landfill.

Following ADMIRE from toothbrush principle in office. So on Arrival check Diary then Master list then In tray then Regular jobs then Email. Not quite got into the hang of it yet but pleased to say i know exactly what's in my diary for next 2 weeks, ditto jobs needing doing before end of Feb, inbox empty and up to date with regular jobs. Boss dashed in a 4:30 with urgent job. Having admired my tidy office i was able to further amaze her by getting job done in 10 mins cos all my computer files are now sorted and i knew exactly where the info was. Oh do i feel good :-)

I absolutely detest throwing books away - they're 'well-loved friends' in my home ................ :(. I also volunteer in a charity shop one day a week and we're 'snowed under' with books - recently had a sale on with hard-backs down to 50p each for a few weeks - it DID help with the backlog! Our paperbacks are normally only 50p anyway, so we were letting those go for 3 for £1 at the same time.

Every week, we're getting bags full of books coming in with the donors saying the same thing all the time - 'my husband got me a Kindle for Christmas'. There's another six charity shops in our small shopping centre and they're all also overstocked with books - it's such a shame ................ :(.

We've had everything all over the place, but now my daughter's bedroom has been redecorated, gradually getting furniture back in place. Along the way have decluttered:

Small sofa (couldn't get stains out despite lots of different stain removers and Vax tried)
Disney Princess box seat (too babyish now)
Holder for tidy boxes (now on bookcase)
    Roof tiles
Broken padlock (been sitting around for 2 years!)
    Broken plastic spade
    Stickers removed from window

Bedroom curtains washed, sent to ironing shop to be pressed, will be picked up and rehung this afternoon

Been sorting out DS's room and have managed to find a whole black bag of gibble which has gone in the bin. Also found 4 things to go to the CS when I'm next out and about - my IKEA bag is now full to bursting with stuff for them :T!
