Morning All
Sunny again here, hurray! I'll admit to a bit of a sigh of relief as DS and DD back to school today and Monday my day off, so definitely a bit of decluttering planned.
Got to do grocery shop this morning though, Aldi convert just lately. Have always popped in to stock up on face creams (which is fab by the way if you haven't tried it, I am 40 and I only look 39) but do nearly all my grocery shops there lately. Then home for quick general tidy, then definitely a couple of bags full of clutter to find.
Becky 2, cheesecake was lovely, thank you, surprised myself, but down to good old Mary Berry really.
Hope everyone has a great day x

Not the way it works.... A kind friend has blessed me with a dress from her wardrobe, in my size and favorite colours. Going to try it on today. She is decluttering too!
Last night I managed to get OH to throw out a broken fish tank pump - he had dumped in a bucket in the conservatory. Oh claimed he wanted parts.... so I pined him down to doing the job the same day - yesterday. A few hours later, he decided he did not need it after all and threw it in the bin. He had bought a new pump after all! Just clutter. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Spent an hour and a half clearing out all the old paperwork (old utility bills, bank statements etc) in the study and have about 1/8 of the paperwork left to such an extent that I have been able to condense the remaining lot down to one filing drawer.
There was a huge amount that I didn't even realise - thank goodness that is a big job off the list.
Garage, shed and loft left to blitz now!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Good morning :hello: everybody - another lovely day here. Hope this is the sign of a lovely Spring/Summer to come ..................
Loving your tales of all the decluttering that you, your families and OH's have been doing during the past week or so ................
Seeing as I didn't get into anything last night, I need to get stuck into some box sorting again today. Just about to send OH out to the shops - he needs to get some discs for the PC, so once he's out of the way, I'll make yet another start in the spare bedroom ............. I really do want to try to whittle down the number of boxes/crates by sorting/combining the contents.
I've come across an old recycling crate that contains 23yrs of desk diaries from work  - so need to contact my ex-boss to have them collected for 'confidential disposal'. They 'weigh a ton' - so I've no way of getting them into the offices myself - they can send somebody with a van/car to shift them. They not keeping the crate on me though - will come in handy for planting 'something' in the garden.
Just off now to 'roll up my sleeves' and get stuck in - I may be some time ..........................
speak later - luv Lilyplonk xxx0 -
Good Morning
I'm on a roll today, first day of my week off and I was up just after 7am.
Continued from where I was yesterday, in the kitchen. Sorted out a pile of stuff for the charity shop - dishes, plates and other kitchen implements.
A lot of out of date stuff gone and the packaging recycled.
Some paperwork sorted (still lots to do)
Whilst I'm decluttering I am constantly reloading the WM. It's lovely outside and the lines are full.
DH is doing a great job helping and has taken stuff to the recycling centre/tip. He also ironed, as the ironing basket will be full when today's washing is dry.
Just having a breather then will be back to decluttering. The sunny weather is helping, I love a Spring Clean.
Have a great day whatever your plans.

Haven't kept track of the number of items I've decluttered but have decided I'm going to keep tabs on the amount of pocket money I've made instead... this year's total is £274.04 - feeling very pleased with myself :j

Just coming back in now and then to marvel at everyone's progress. My lovely new uncluttered bedroom is just that - lovely and new and uncluttered and still got three empty drawers!
I suppose the kitchen is next as it's the last room still be be sorted and decorated again. It's not been done for about 10 years and there's been some replastering done about 4 years ago.
Mind you the next urgent action will be decluttering some of my excess weight! That was the plan this morning and thenI was given wine and chocolates as a present... chocolates in the freezer and wine in the fridge. Maybe if I wear earplugs I won't be able to hear the juicy Pinot Grigio calling to me?
Happy decluttering, love to read all about successes here.0 -
