10 items of old underwear/socks thrown away.
I've also put several carrier bags of clothes and shoes into the conservatory. I've been inspired by Project 333 and this is my 'storage' until I decide what to do with it all. I think seeing a tidy wardrobe and bedroom will spur me on to ebay/donate them.Decluttering 2015: 2162/20150 -
Carrying on from this mornings post....
Oh spent half an hour in the garden and cut back some shrubs and the Jasmin. We have a garden recycle bin.
Blessed 2 large recycle bags full of various things to a new loving home. Cleaning items and bowls, plates etc...that we no longer need.
Bin day, so all house hold bins emptied.
Took some soya milk we did not like back to Asda. Under their promise " we will refund if not happy". I got a credit receipt, so chose a diffrent milk. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -

have you tried making it into a game - either give them hard hats (bob the builder type) with their name on or you could even time them and see who can do it faster - worked with my little one at that age (shame he wont wear the hat now tho :rotfl:)Goodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

Evening, folks,
I've been reading through this thread with great interest and enthusiasm the past few days, so now I thought I'd join in and actively participate myself.
I don't have lots of clutter, but a fair few things I'd like to sort out and get rid of, especially since we'll be moving in the summer and would like to take as little as possible with us. Did a few little things this weekend:
* Sorted through my storage box of craft/writing papers; threw away some scraps and other odds and ends that I've been keeping for ages, in the hope of using one day, but probably never will.
* Filled a small bag with some clothes and shoes that don't fit. I'll be giving that to charity.
* Made some space in a kitchen cupboard to store all the empty jars that we use to refill with spices and herbs. Previously they'd been scattered around the kitchen, so it looks much tidier and bigger now.
* Sorted through my little box of toiletries; threw away a bottle of suntan lotion that had about one drop of lotion left in it - no idea why I kept it! Put all the little soaps that I've received in gift sets together, and plan to use those as hand soaps, rather than and before buying more of my usual hand wash.
* Started to use up the food that's been sitting in the back of the cupboard for quite a while.0 -
Hi All,
Have not posted for a while, but still making progress, two bags of paper for dump, magazines for dump, four old handbags for charity shop, books for charity shop, old clothes to dump, all will go tomorrow! I found four soap dishes in the bathroom all unused! Why am I keeping them?
My dinner plates are over flowing in the cupboard, I will get rid of the chipped ones! I have got rid of lots of old towels. Cleaned and sorted the bathroom. A productive day today.0 -

Home is beginning to show the light! much tidier in places.
Today going to wash some windows in the conservatory.
This morning, had an argument with the printer as had not been working for a few days. unplugged, dusted, pressed all the buttons...
suddenly it sprung into life.
Wile I was under the desk, I threw out some clutter.
Right, off to declutter the laundry basket. Washer then on line.

I spent about 5 hours the other week getting all my ebay stuff in boxes and nicely in order. I was so proud of myself.
I then sold two items that I had to go searching for, and as you have guessed they were in the very last box right down at the bottom of the pile.
So, the job today is to actually right down every thing that I have and number the boxes so that I know exactly what is in each box, so that it does not end up like this every other week.
Got home last night after three days away and my son had cleared up the front room for me. Ow it looks lovely I haven't been able to sit in there for about six months! because of all the boxes every where, he didn't throw anything away (that I know of) but did remind me of a huge amount of Cath Kitson cups that need selling. Now that he has done that I will list them today.Ebay 13........1583.46/2000.00 Amazon sales 54/50 Etsy sales 63/50

Hi All
Just popping by to say keep up the good work, I try to read all your posts to give me a little boost.
Persuaded DD to tidy her room, well her floor actually as you could hardly walk from one side to the other  and yes she's old enough to know better. We have a pact that she changes her bed linen and does her washing etc. I very occasionally go in there, only to get a couple of bits to make up a full washing machine load.
DD threw out lots of old bags and odd sock, as they say, 'every little helps'0
