I don't think video tapes are recyclable, but I would offer them on freecycle before binning them, I've got rid of loads on our one.
I've recycled/shredded a pile of paperwork, junk mail etc., including a load of small bits of paper with names/phone numbers that I needed when my dad was in hospital, all the numbers that I still need are now listed on one piece of paper. I've put the flowers that DS bought me at Christmas into green waste bin as they've finally died, and took a small saucepan round to my dad's.
I must admit that more has come in than gone out in the past few days. Last Sunday we helped MIL to do some more sorting out at her late partner's house, and came back with a digi box for the spare room (which will be useful for when my dad or DS come to visit), a DVD player (which we will either put on ebay or use in the spare room), and a bin bag of pretty bedding that I'm hoping to use to make some curtains and cushion covers for our lounge, and some curtain header tape. Also brought back a small casserole dish, and two other baking dishes.
Day off tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get something done then.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Try offering them to gardeners. The tape can be used to tie up plants or to flutter above seedlings to keep them pesky birdies from eating them, can also be used like strings for sweet peas to grow up - or any plant so long as it's not overly heavy.
Believe, but won't swear to it as I haven't tried it, that you can also knit the tape into bags
That deals with the tape but don't know what you might do with the casings... SorrySaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Have to declare on 77 as all I decluttered today was some damp spots and filth from the interior of the front door and about a cubic yard of dust from the spindles on the banister! Who, in their right mind, decided spindles and not nice plain ones, oh no, were a better idea than a solid banister grrr - and the channel they sit in....how are you supposed to either hoover it out or wipe it out when the gap isn't big enough for the little nozzle of the Hoover and wiping it pushes the dust into the totally inaccessible bit
Am finding that doing a little bit each day is manageable for decrepit old me. It's also encouraging lovely hubby to do a bit too.
Well done everyone dor January's efforts, you have all been amazing
A special well done to those of us who get bitten by the black dog, none of us are alone - there is always someone here who understands, which helps tremendously. Keep it up, you CAN have control of your clutter it does not have the power to control you!Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

No decluttering, as such, done today, BUT I can declare that I came back from the CS today with absolutely NOTHING AT ALL :j:j. Given that I donated some coat hangers and a couple of small items, today was a resounding success :rotfl:.0
