Have done a bit more decluttering over the couple of days.

So far this year I've chucked several electrical cables, the sort of thing that was previously kept 'just in case'. I'm certainly being more ruthless these days!

I'll post my full week's totals at the weekend.

Also in the spirit of decluttering, I've taken steps to tidy up some financials. We've moved a bit of money around, with a view to opening an ISA at the weekend and a fixed rate savings account. I'm a bit lazy with getting the best interest rates, which is really bad as I've worked in banks for my whole working life!

Bank statements and utility bills are kept in a box. I had to fish out some account info, and I realised the box is seriously cluttered again. I swear I only decluttered it a couple of months ago. Where does all this stuff come from?!?! So that's on the 'to do' list.

thanks to those who are posting the "little and often" as well as the big lists.

has inspired me to throw one phone and approx 10-20 cables , whereupon I found 10 old disposable cameras approx 10 years past sell by date and 1 surplus cat feeder.

took 3 mins, accomplished way more than I thought I would and lifted me from feeling like I couldn't keep on top of anything (the house IS a tip) to feeling like I am making progress (which I am)

    so thanks all :)

And got the scrubbing brush out, really easily accessible since decluttering under the sink and using the plastic bins - heavenly!

Scrubbed the carpet on the stairs which, because of all of hubbys other women tramping up and down, was filthy!!

Is now so clean I shall have to clean the sitting room one too as it now looks desperate in comparison:rotfl:

Also, pulled the incontinent washing machine out and thoroughly washed and cleaned behind and around and under it.

Then I brushed the kitty and now have enough fluffys to knit a spare one :rotfl:

    So, decluttered:
75 big aerosol tin of Vanish carpet cleaner - useless!
76 container of proper Vax liquid carpet shampoo - works a treat.
77 cardboard used to make a cover for music amp.

    Well done all.
