haven't been able to post all week, but decluttered a little bit this evening through a fb sale. 11 items out of the house.
I'll have to find some more time at the weekend0 -
Goodness me, where have you lot been all my life? Hiding under a pile in the corner of my sitting room/bedroom/anywhere, probably! You are all amazingly inspirational. Ok, so I'm going to try to join you if you'll allow me.
My clothes drawers are bursting at the seams/joints, my bookshelves are full of books I keep meaning to read but then buy another 2 having read 1. I am also very good at stocking up with shampoo etc on BOGOF, again my cupboard is bursting at the seams.
I see that you have all set targets, can I start with 100? I do donate some items to Age UK and have declared that my donations can attract Gift Aid. More donations required, I think!

Evening everybody  - and welcome to all new de-clutterbugs
.
:T all on your progress - this icy weather is having a great effect on us. If we can't get out, more chance of decluttering out of boredom and no chance to pick up even more clutter to deal with :rotfl:.
No 'proper' clearing out done here today - unless you count the contents of a fridge drawer that went into a huge pan of Winter Veg Soup .
I've had an evening of baby-sitting for DS2 and his g/f while they went out for a meal - courtesy of Groupon :j. Kids were a pair of :A for a change and I didn't have to do anything much at all - just sat on my jacksie and watched a film till they got back home again.
My shift in the Charity Shop tomorrow morning - so will take some more 'unwanted stuff' in with me for selling/rehoming.
I've also got an appointment at the Bank in the afternoon, need to sort out a spot of financial stuff before I have another go at claiming Housing/Council Tax Benefit - :money:.
I'm heading for an early night, for a change - as I like to be up for a while before I actually need to leave the flat.
Keep up the good work, folks - speak tomorrow - Lilyplonk xx0 -
Morning everyone. Didn't do much yesterday as I had a lot of other things going on. Only thing to report is the box for my old mobile phone, which I sold, recycled.
I plan to sort through my magazine clippings file today (didn't get round to it the other day), and to sort through the various cables that breed like rabbits in this house.Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

 exactly the same in this flat too!
Every gadget we acquire comes with its own set of cables, half of which appear to be completely unnecessary - so how come, when we need a length of cable for 'whatever', we never have the appropriate one in the house .
Yet again, I've been scouring Maplins website for a particular type of cable so I can experiment with moving my TV set into the alcove at the side of the chimney breast - not even sure if doing this 'would work' aesthetically - BUT I want to give it a go. It's an odds-on cert, that I'll decide I don't like it there and want it moving back again - but until I've tried, I just won't settle.
At the moment, I'm Mrs Unpopular with DS1/DS2/OH :rotfl:.
Off to get ready for going out - speak later and Happy Decluttering - Lilyplonk xx0 -
Lilyplonk - both DH and DS2 keep telling me we need to keep all the ethernet cables that come into the house - but we've never used them and I think we have loads! Hope your TV moving works out well - it sounds like it would look nice there, but I know when you actually try these things it doesn't work out!
Yesterday I re-read part of the Toothbrush Principle book, the section on emails and computer 'clutter'. After I've finished with my clippings and cables, that's what I'm moving on to next :eek:Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
