:j:j new wardrobes are in :j and I've spent a happy hour decluttering the living room of the piles of clothes into the new spaces. Then I changed them round, and then I put them back again! :rotfl: Still got some other stuff to go into the top boxes but will wait until I'm not alone as I don't fancy being on the step ladder (small one) with my dodgy knee but I can wait. I've even filled a CS bag from the clothes I had put aside to keep!

Can't tell you how happy I am to be clearing the living room out. There are a couple of pieces of furniture which can't go back until after the new carpet is fitted but I can survive. Have decided to not put the bed back until after the carpet fitting as I can't really be bothered and the bed is being disposed of anyway,

I hope that everyone else gets this feeling of freedom, space and happiness from their decluttering efforts. It's glorious!

:j for new wardrobes. It does feel good to be clutter free.
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

    Gers, I have wardrobe envy!

It's taken me a long time to get them and I've had wardrobe envy for all of it. You can get there too!

I can actually get rid of two pieces of furniture as a result of the massive mega ueber huge decluttering of the bedroom. It feels wonderful and I could really jump for joy - but will substitute a wee dram instead!

    Thanks

I have sold 3 small items of clothing today, will post tomorrow. I have another letter to post tomorrow too.

I managed 2 binbags of stuff out but I photographed a large pile to sell, currently on fb but will go on ebay next week, I have loads to relist on there too. What doesn't sell will go in a clothes-4-cash bag or similar rip off place.. anything I get is more than I would get if I took it to the CS and it will be gone quicker despite the fact we have 10 charity shops round the corner!

Children are at their dads this weekend but I want to get some of their non-christmas stuff gone the weekend after and sort through their clothes because their drawers are bursting!

See, the good intention is there it is just the time and energy I am lacking at the moment. We are having a massive bedroom reshuffle around easter time so the baby cAN BE SHIFTED out of my room .. she is 16 months at the moment and a very poor sleeper. This reshuffle will require 2 small rooms to be decorated and I would like to redecorate the front room this year too if I can find the money.

First job this year is to save £400 for the house deeds name transfer.
Second job this year is getting the kitchen tiled!!!!! I have waited 8 years so far!! This will probably cost a further £400 so I need to get selling and fast!

I have carried on my good work by decluttering our DVDs, the girls clothes and DD2s bedroom!

82 items decluttered from these areas.

    I had a target of 300 and I have decluttered 393 so far :j

I have hubby's bedside cabinet, the linen cupboard and DD1s room and then the whole house will be decluttered except the loft which will be a weekend activity I think!

I am periodically revisiting all the decluttered areas to ensure they have stayed that way!!

  • Another mini declutter - kitchen cupboard that houses all the cleaning products. I didn't get rid of a lot but did find things I would otherwise have 'replaced'. Did get rid of some old cloths though!!

A small declutter, finished shredding papers, about 100 pages or so. Makes more for the compost heap so i am quietly satisfied.
