A mini bathroom declutter tonight. I know I've already officially done my bathroom declutter but this is the second cut. I suspect there are more to come. Anyway got rid of 3 old toothbrushes supposedly to be used for cleaning but never have been, three old shower caps (I never wear shower caps) and a couple of cleaning cloths that frankly just smear the dirt. And nearly finished one of those special bath salt things that you keep for good. I'm also using up various 'special for good' creams and lotions
.
Keep it up everyone0 -
Listed 7 auctions of make up on ebay, grouped some together, hope they sell, could do with the money...

I made it safely to and from work, although it took forever, lol! It had warmed up and snow was thawing a bit by the time I came home, but it hasn't got rid of much, and of course the slush will be ice tomorrow:eek:!
Thanks again everyone for your get well wishes for my dad and the hugs, very much appreciated. I called earlier to check on him and was told he is comfortable, but still taking the antibiotics.
Today I binned an OOD cough medicine, which smelled like really strong urine?, luckily OH chose to use the other bottle yesterday, lol! I also sorted through a folder of paperwork which I've amassed since starting my current job, and got rid of a pile of it to shredding/recycling, binned 2 old pairs of canvas shoes that I usually wear when painting/decorating, and I finally got around to cleaning the filter on the tumble dryer!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Whilst the work in the bedroom is going well - carcass of new wardrobes is up - I am up to my oxters in stuff in the living room. And now we have to sleep here too until after the new carpet is laid on Friday. The total guddle is very depressing. It makes my brain ache. If the wardrobe bloke can get back here tomorrow to finish the job I can at least put away all the clothes and so on.
Just a case of hanging on...I will now make up the bed, perhaps if I close my eyes I won't mind so much!0 -
Had a good day today decluttering-wise. Tackled the cupboard under the stairs; my morsbag fabric box; all the pens in the study drawer; shopping bags; and my bedside cabinet. Found evidence of little visitors under the stairs, so occupied hubby for half an hour or so filling in the holes round the pipes so the little [STRIKE]darlings[/STRIKE] blighters won't get in any more and frighten the life out of me late at night with their scrabblings!
109-113 Paperback books I won't read
114 Craft storage box with lid
115 2 metal tealight holders
116 Loads of fabric into the fabric recycling bag
117 Paperweight
118 Eraser
119 Leads for propelling pencil we don't have any more
120 Fountain pen that is never used
121 Half a dozen broken or dried up pens
122-125 3 scarves
126-127 2 pairs gloves
128 Odd glove that doesn't have a partner
129 Lots of that air pillow packaging stuff you get with Amazon parcels
Also done quite a lot of the hand quilting on hubby's quilt. Hopefully should get it done by the weekend, so then that will be one less item cluttering up the cupboards. It will be cluttering up the sofa instead!!!
At least it can be ticked off the 'to do' list at last!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

bag of clothes and box of bits to cs so car is clearer (none would take videos though
) and dd's toy box waxed.
that's all for today, may drag the load of dry washing upstairs and put it in the right bedrooms, but even that may be a step too far, ah well, no incomers today so a net win.:AA/give up smoking (done)0 -
Evening all  - we've had snow flurries on/off all day here, but I was going 'stir-crazy' and just had to get out of the house!
Went to the bank and sorted out a problem with my credit card - my statement had been returned to them as 'no longer at this address', so they froze it on me  - no wonder it wasn't working when I tried to buy a new freezer. But at least the problem has now been rectified and I've been given the 'all-clear' to go ahead with the order!
Visited the CS this afternoon - dropped off a corded jacket belonging to OH / 2 books on wildlife / 1pr of Winnie the Pooh curtains / 1 pr of home-made but rather lovely bathroom curtains / one cotton bedside rug / 2 sets of bathroom mats - but, more importantly, I resisted the urge to come back out with anything else :j.
Picked up a few whoopsies in A$da - including some fruit and veg. Looks like a large pot of Root Veg Soup will be getting made tomorrow .
DS2 phoned to ask for baby-sitting on Wed evening (he has a Groupon Voucher) and promised, in return, to do a few odd-jobs around the place when he comes to collect me. I want a couple of 'multi-point sockets' attaching to the wall - one for my PC etc and another for the TV/DVD/Skybox. - also my 'very upright PC desk' needs to be secured to the wall with a couple of brackets for extra stability. I can't abide the sight of 'trailing wires', so those couple of jobs will assist with my 'karma' - plus, I've come across a length of Ikea 'cable tubing' that I'd forgotten all about. Should help to keep it all tidy looking ....... :T.
I've done the dishes and put everything away again, so the kitchen is looking neat/tidy for morning :j.
Speak again in the morning. Keep snug and warm everybody - Lilyplonk xx0 -
Morning all!
Last night I cleared out the bathroom cabinet - I only keep toiletries in there, no medicines. Only one bit of packaging decluttered, but I cleaned the inside and put everything back neatly.
Plan for today is to sort through medicines, which I keep on a shelf on my wardrobe. A few bits will be OOD, I'm sure, so can go back to the pharmacy when I'm next trudging past in the snow.Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
Decluttering - January 2024 - 89 physical objects, over 700 emails/digital decluttering 🎊 🏅🏅0 -
Cleared out my handbag & purse yesterday - mainly receipts BUT I had a (small) flash of inspiration (careful girl - dont push it) I always like to make sure I have a pen, small notebook, headache tablets, calculator, tape measure & emergency pantie liner in my bag. Fished out an unused make up bag & put them all in there so I can transfer them easily from bag to bag AND it means my bag is tidy too!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0
