Decluttering has been the bare minimum today.
-8 birthday cards used from stash for Feb birthdays (saves some £££s:j)
-3 ebay parcels out
-1 ebay parcel prepped for courier collection
-have bagged up old/random foreign currency and contact cash4coins to arrange to send to them. This should make a few pennies too although to be honest, I'm just glad to get rid. Some of these have moved house with us, twice
Lots more paracetamol/calpol/nurofen being used up too as we are all still poorly. Think I will have to bite the bullet and get myself and the two kiddies to the Drs tomorrow. I think we may all be in for a round of anti-biotics0 -
Did a bit more shredding, by hand this time as it was mostly newspapers.

I can't believe how much clutter I have!! M:j:j:jmummybear3I will declutter, I will declutter............meaning less to clear away and more time to spend with my lovely family0 -
I started decluttering a few weeks ago and was doing quite well, then my boyfriend decided to join in and declutter me!! So, I've just had to hire a large storage unit and move all the bits I had waiting to eBay, car boot etc and almost ALL of my personal belongings and furniture apart from the basics and move to my parents while I try and find somewhere else to live. The storage unit isn't that far from my parents though so the idea is to pick up a few boxes a week and go through them, as crap as this is, it'll teach me what I can live with out I guess0

Had a look into the second underbed drawer, quite a lot of stuff in there, including my late Aunt's jewellery box. I've kept 3 rings that fit me, they're now re-homed in my new jewellery box that my Mum gave me from Christmas.
Decluttered:
Jewellery box (CS)
Lots of earrings (will take to my sister, if she doesn't want them she can give to CS or see if her friend who is a jewelller can sell them)
Watch (going to check if this is silver)
Whilst waiting for the kettle to boil, thought I would have a little go at the baking shelf, decluttered:
Marzipan (from old Christmas cake kit, not dated but think it is quite old)
Chopped almonds (ditto)
Various coloured icing tubes
OOD cake decorations
I found a box of tea, coffee and sugar sachets collected by my OH from various hotel rooms. I've put them in the appropriate tins next to the kettle, hopefully they will then get used up. Chucked out the plastic box they were in.
Mental note to ask OH not to collect stuff from hotel rooms, as have also had to declutter lots of little bottles of toiletries, shower caps, sewing kits and other 'useful' items he has swiped and left all over the house.
Do you have a housing shelter/homeless charity near you. I'm sure they'd give the hotel bits a warm welcomeDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Well done all for keeping the momentum going.
I, with the lovely hubby's help, sorted the food tins cupboard this morning. Few things binned, few things food banked. Will do my list soon, keep forgetting!
Have bought 15 (yes, 15!!) clear stackable storage boxes. We have no wardrobe or drawers in one bedroom so we are going to clear out the only cupboard, declutter and then rehome everything, properly, which needs to be kept in the new boxes. Hubby's very keen to do this.
Got rid of two items on eBay last week and am planning on listing more in the next week.
I am getting slightly more organised!!Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

:cool:Well the decluttering I did yesterday didn't amount to much in numbers (a big bag of papers to shred, 2 magazines) but I've sorted about half the paperwork into folders and put them away.
:pI have a big bag staring at me which needs to be filed. At least I've got the folders organised into categories.
:TFor those decluttering emails I did a real purge over xmas and unsubscribed from a ton of different companies. Some were emailing me so regularly that I couldn't see the important or interesting stuff in my inbox.
:TDon't forget to register for the Mail Preference Service to minimise any junk mail coming through your door too.
:TAs much as this is about clearing and sorting what's in front of us it's also about making sure that less comes in. That we have to file. Store. Move. File. Put into a bag. Sort. Shred. And so on!Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I'm happy to say that my dad has been discharged and is now home, however I am absolutely livid with the hospital for the way he was sent home! They took him home wearing just hospital pj's (which were way too big for him), a dressing gown, socks and slippers, without even informing me that they were sending him home, he had no key to get in so had to be left with a neighbour! Only after he was dropped off did they make any attempt to contact me!
To make matters worse, he wandered off from the neighbour's flat and walked out in the snow and ice, to go to the house of the woman who usually phones me when he loses his key. She rang me at work to let me know where he was, and luckily she was able to take care of him until I was able to collect him about 4 hours later.
OH went to the hospital on his way home from work, to find out why he had been discharged like that (he thought if I went someone might get injured, lol!), and was told by the transport people that as far as they were concerned they had done the right thing! Well I don't see how anyone with an ounce of common sense could think this was right, his enablement team, social worker and the police agree with us that it's not right. Luckily my dad seems ok, despite his ordeal, but they'd better hope that nothing happens to him in the next few weeks, or I'll see them all in court!
Sorry for the OT but had to have a rant!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs
