I need some advice please .
My sons GF came here crying tonight , It's not the first time .
Long story short she is terrified of her mothers temper, has to look after her siblings while her mum goes out drinking, and does all the cooking /cleaning while her mum posts on Facebook .
I understand there's always two sides to any story, but she's cried in my arms tonight and told me many things which I dare not disclose.
I desperately want to help , can anyone point me in the right direction please .
Thank you .

Try to see things with your own eyes first, try to get to the houseBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

Yes I thought that , but she's made me promise not to get anyone involved Danny .
I can't betray the trust she has in me and I don't want to see her in care .
The things you cannot disclose leave little to the imagination. If the situation is that bad, surely she'd be better off in care than at the hands of an abusive mother?
She spoke to you as an adult, maybe was a cry for help? She wants you to sort the situation...Turn your car around.0 -

First rule of safeguarding: the person must understand non disclosure is not an option if the issues are serious enough. You, as the adult have to make that call. It is an unenviable position, but you have to step up to the plate and act.0 -
If I had my time over again in a similar position I would have doneBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

She was , and she does want me to help I know that , perhaps I could speak to Social Services anonymously and take their advice .
Her mother has grounded her until after New Year, but told her at the same time she's throwing her out In January .
Blackpool Saver Do you have experience of this please ?
How can I keep her trust ?0 -

By acting like the grown up in this situation and gaining professional help. Is the only way.Turn your car around.0
