Ok so the Paprika Pork wasn't much cop, OH ate it but I had cheesy beans on toast, so 6 and a half meals out of 7 planned :rotfl:

F 18th Sharw00ds Balti wrap kit as I have (had!) 3 in the cupboard and wanted rid. Already eaten as planned :D

S 19th Jambalaya. We have two (separate) 30th birthday parties to go to tomorrow. Going to have this for a later lunch when back from visiting my parents and the evening will be on the fly, depends what happens, but I'm hoping for something BAD for me ;)

    S 20th Chicken, mash & veg

M 21st BE Chicken chargrill, mushroom rice & salad. One of OH's favorites, so sneaks on the MP quite often. I have bartered him down from a bread bun, chips and beans though, so there is progress!

    T 22nd Tuna pasta bake

    W 23rd Ham, NP and spinach/cabbage/green beans

    T 24th Chicken & noodles

Happy planning, another week gone and almost February

Last weeks meal planning went well and there were no complaints from OH or DD.

This weeks meal plans are as follows

    Sat - MH pizza
Sun - Roast chicken dinner using chicken drumsticsks, stuffing balls, roasties and lots of veg
Mon - Parsnip soup with rice pudding for afters
Tue - Fish pie with lots of veg
Wed - Broc and Cauli cheese
Thur - Beef hot pot with red cabbage
Fri - Chicken curry, nann, poppadoms with HM dips

Breakfasts for me are porridge in the week and something on toast at the weekends. OH and DD have cereal

Lunches are either soup with 2 slices wm bread or sandwiches with fruit (+ crisps for OH and DD
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

Not posted for ages but life was so much easier when I did. Have been meal planning last couple of weeks so here is this weeks

Sat - hm burgers in hm rolls with salad and fries

Sun - pork steak, roasties, carrots, brocolli, sprouts, yorkshire & gravy. Apple crumble using up left over apples at bottom of fruit bowl.

Mon - pasta cheese with hm rolls

Tue - toad in hole, pots & veggies

    Wed - roast chicken

Thurs - chicken curry & efr

    Fri - fahitas

Sat - hm pizza & salad

Also used up porridge oats by making 2 lots of flapjacks. One traditional and other has chopped nuts and cranberries in. Saves a fortune for girls snacks at school rather than cereal bar. Cakes to make next.
  • Ok my dessert has changed for tomorrow from Malteezer cheesecake to steamed syrup sponge as I forgot the sour Cream and there is no way I'm going out in the snow.
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!
    JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD
  • I will join in too. This is definitely something I need to do! Constantly asking myself what to cook everyone and then whizzing down to Tescos at the end of the road and spending too much money.

Sat - chicken and chorizo paella
Sun - mushroom and parmesan spaghetti with salad
Mon - pork casserole in slow cooker with noodles
Tues - minced beef and baked bean hotpot bake
Wed - Jacket potato with cheese and salad
Thurs - Chicken korma (Hairy Bikers diet book!)
Fri - sausage, homemade wedges, veg

Goal: 11st 10lb by my birthday in August

My menu plan has gone out of the window today as the kids took over the kitchen. I don't really care though, as long as they're using up stuff we already had in the house that I don't need for anything else. They seem to understand that limitation, and they're gradually learning to read recipes!

I did buy a lovely big portion of hot salty and vinegary chips to share for lunch on the way home from sledging. A real old-style treat IMHO.
  • 13th egg bacon and broccoli flan, potatoes
    14th left overs of above
15th pasta with pork and sage balls
16th TBC - think omelette perhaps with salad
17th corned beef hash and egg carbonara pasta
18th H/M pizza with HM wedges take away
19th spag Bol and spaghetti mushroom risotto
20th above mince turned into lasagne (stop us feeling like leftovers again!) going to do this still but won't be leftovers. Will use leftover mince as spag Bol next night
21st stir fry rice with veg medley spag Bol
22nd left over rice from above, but with fish added not a leftover, but will just make smaller quantity for 1night
    23rd beans on toast
24th pork loin, potatoes and broccoli
    25th mushroom risotto
26th steak burgers in a bun, with HM wedges
27th turkey dinner and veg (basically left over from Xmas)
    28th speedy veg spaghetti
    30th poached eggs on toast
    31st braised pork and potatoes

ok so having an epic fail week really :(. Been feeling really rotten and finding the energy to do anything but sleep has been a struggle. Anyhow as you can see the meal plan went out the window and now I'm having to re-jig a lot this week :o. Feeling a bit better today so am getting right back on the horse and ploughing ahead with new plan
Made me even more determined to batch cook the months plan as much as possible now tho. Stop this happening again xfingers. You guys all seem to be doing really well :T
