    Week 3 Update I

Ok so the Paprika Pork wasn't much cop, OH ate it but I had cheesy beans on toast, so 6 and a half meals out of 7 planned :rotfl:

F 18th Sharw00ds Balti wrap kit as I have (had!) 3 in the cupboard and wanted rid. Already eaten as planned :D

S 19th Jambalaya. We have two (separate) 30th birthday parties to go to tomorrow. Going to have this for a later lunch when back from visiting my parents and the evening will be on the fly, depends what happens, but I'm hoping for something BAD for me ;)Eaten as planned. Got talked into staying for a 3 course meal at the pub at the first 30th, and was out until all hours had a McChicken Sandwich (which was yak) on the way home.

S 20th Chicken, mash & veg.Eaten with slight amendment, had frozen roasties instead of mash as I couldn't be bothered to make mash!

M 21st BE Chicken chargrill, mushroom rice & salad. One of OH's favorites, so sneaks on the MP quite often. I have bartered him down from a bread bun, chips and beans though, so there is progress! My boss stayed over due 'adverse weather conditions'. This does not serve 3! so made pasta with tomato sauce and swedish meatballs. All from freezer/storecupboard.

T 22nd Tuna pasta bake. Had the BE Chicken Chargrills etc planned for yesterday, didn't want pasta 2 days in a row and the lettuce was looking rather sad and needed using asap.

W 23rd Ham, NP and spinach/cabbage/green beans. Eaten as planned.

    T 24th Chicken & noodles

Happy planning, another week gone and almost February

Not bad so far, just swapped the pasta meal for another type and day, but at no further spend as everything was already in, and roasts instead of mash, due to my CBA'edness which were also already in the freezer. Winning so far this week IMO!
  • Stuck to the meal plans so far for this week, will be a slight change tomorrow as DH is also eating at his mums so he will be having the Haggis on Friday now

    Week 4

Has everyone else given up this week?

F 25th Corned Beef Hash & Yorkshire puddings. Made in the Yorkshire/Irish way which means its more of a stew :D

S 26th Tapas, to get rid of some niggly bits out of the freezer, ham & cheese croquettes, patatas bravas, chicken & chorizo stew, meatballs in tomato sauce, rice, salad & pitta bread.

S 27th Braised steak, mash, onion gravy, carrots/cauli/broccoli.

M 28th Chicken Chasseur & mushroom rice, not sure on accompaniment, maybe creamed spinach & green beans. It will work itself out :)

T 29th TPB (tuna pasta bake).

    W 30th Chicken Curry, rice & poppudoms.

T 31st Pasta, meatballs and tomato sauce

Happy planning, here's to a good week :A

    Good morning

Pleased that we managed to get the car out yesterday and went shopping (not my usual day, the snow stopped that) As we have had lots more snow overnight and the car is now stuck back in the garage!
Never mind have everything in we need for a few days.
Today we are having sausage casserole and crusty bread.
    Tomorrow chicken, chips and salad.

Really struggling to make my mind up about this weeks meals at the moment. We've got plenty in but I need to discipline myself to name it as specific meals or I'll end up going buying something else unnecessary. Its curry tonight, roast pork tomorrow and probably bubble&squeak on Monday. After that I really can't make my mind up. Need to go and stand in front of the fridge/freezer/larder cupboard and actually decide!

    Hello
I've found this thread so helpful
It's made me look at my freezer ,weight problem and no money and actually made me cook
My SIL when and her kids were small would plan her menu for the month .... She'd always have a block of cheese ham and bread so visitors could have a sandwich or cheese on toast but everything was panned.
She is ace .... I pick up little tips from her and have started using them
I don't tend to pan per day in case I don't fancy what I've actually planned then I'd just go off the raid and eat a pack of biscuits or grab chips on the way home
Instead I've bought n cooked a few meals then froze them.

    To date I've got a I have
    3 meals of iamb stew
4 stuffed cannelloni , packed with spinach and rocket meals
6 patios of pasta bolognese meals
And I'm currently marinating chicken thighs ready for a chicken curry another 3 meals
For lunch at work I've made a pot of carrot and coriander soup and along with that I've made ham pittas that I've frozen and after washing up at night , I take a pack from the freezer and by the time I eat them the next day they are defrosted !!
I feel like ... Why didn't I do this before ..... It saves me hours and saves e money
I'm seeing my SIL today so I actually taking my note pad with me .....:rotfl:
